I am a pretty good dancer-but I don't have the confidence of my younger self when it comes to showing what I got on the dance floor, lol! Back then, I can wear mid-riff showing shirts, low-rise pants and multi-colored chucks and be confident enough to work it while dancing. Fast forward to now, a few years and pounds later, with a husband by my side, I don't think I can do this again. I always have this fear that my staff will not respect me anymore if they see me in that get-up and dance number at this age. I am sure this will better fit someone way younger. I did have my own share of performing during the annual Christmas party in our company, and they recorded it so I'm sure they can just feast their eyes on that particular day but there will be no more repeat of that now for me.

And I am not a bad singer (specially if I am singing at the mid of the night in the shower)... So here is what I suggest to happen - 9as Christmas and new year both happen at midnight)... invite me your place so that I sing in the shower... (this time you can get me a microphone) and you can dance at the party

You should dance year round. It would be fun and you would be so fit. I think we forget how good a shape we have to be in to dance. Enjoy yourself and make sure you find other reasons to dance besides Christmas.

I am not a good dancer either but I like watching people who dances gracefully. It is amazing how their bodies interpret the music and groove with it. You still have time to practice for your dance numbers on Christmas parties. I suggest you do stretching once a day to improve flexibility and before you know it your as graceful as the professionals.

I cannot dance at all lol I am terrible. If you taught me steps I had to follow I could do it but if its just like free dancing to music no way. I just freak out and feel like I'm going to faint if I am put on the spot and have to dance in front of people even kids besides my own lol. Dancing is great exercise though. Odd that your dancing is mandatory at your job.

Wow! we are too planing to have a dance contest this christmas but we did not practice yet since we are trying first to remix our music. Well Dancing is really good, it is a part of exercise so that our body will be somehow active. I hope you can make it on christmas, just enjoy the beat and have fun.

Take some stretching and warm up before dancing or any form of exercise so your body don't get hurt. Trust me next time you will feel more lightier, I'm a dance teacher that's why take it from me. Enjoy and goodluck to your performance.

That's the effect of not doing rigorous tasks for a long time, or at least not using a set of muscles for a long time. Whenever I go to the gym, I'd tell myself I'd stick to it, but then stop for a few months, then start all over again. This constant process gave me muscle pains every time I start over since I never do heavy tasks daily, only when I lift weights.

Hi Jazel yes when we dont use certain muscles it is amazing how our body tells us we should have LOL If it is warm today I am gonna go rent a bike today and bike through the park. Been years since I been on one except for stationary bikes to exercise. I need to work on my middle core but with all the problems with my back it is nearly impossible for me to do this. Just dance and have fun. Try to do it more frequently and you will notice pounds disappear.

hi, i am not a dancer but i know how dance and i can get dance steps too,but the problem is i don't dance everyday or once a year only so that after a year its hard sometimes to dance because my body don't have a warm up or no dancing for almost a year.

Well, talking about dance, I can tell you that I'm just a negation. This is despite I had parents who for two years have taught dance lessons. But there is little to do, to me, dance, do not like! Sometimes, (and they are certainly less than 10 times), I happened to go to the disco. You know, you move them just a little on each piece of commercial music, do not have to do anything more. I also have two uncles who are masters of dancing on a professional level. Nowadays they teach the "ballroom dancing" and they also make competitions where they are sometimes well placed.

I really don't like to dance especially in public. I hate to say this but I hate shaking my body. I'm kind of shy about it. :-) I'm not a good dancer that's why. :-) Good day!
