Golden age has begun

As per Hindu faith we have 4 ‘Yug’ or ‘Ages’, the Satya-yug; its span is 1,72,8000 years, followed by Tretaya-yug---1,29,6000 years; next Dwapar-yug---86,4000 years; now running Kali-yug; its span is 4,32,000 years, out of which 5113 years have passed, there is still 4,26,887 years to enjoy. Many thought the world will end as per prediction in Mayan calendar. I attended a seminar on this; let me tell you; I am Registered Astrologer, Numerologist and Gemologist too. Here are parts of the discussions. December 21st, 2012 was Eve of ‘Golden Age’ and end of the ‘Mayan Calendar’; and December 22nd 2012 is the first Day of the New Mayan Calendar and the "Golden Age’; many were in favor of calling this as the new ‘Satya- Yug’. On the first day of the ‘Golden Age’ or the ‘Satya -Yug’, we should be alert and careful about shifting attitudes and behaviors and the events in our surroundings. We must try to spend time in self-reflection and meditation because the energy available at this time gives access to the divine. Over the next 5 weeks, the Earth is going through profound, energetic shifts. The end of the year 2012 will come with some rather big but gradual decline in size, strength, power or number in flows of high and low energy as the old is washed away. This new age will produce the best environment for living life from the soul level. Life on Earth will be vibrating at a higher frequency where the Gods and Goddesses will become more and more visible and also be active in governing the world. So let’s welcome the golden age; pray and be happy. The beautiful earth created by the Almighty is NOT GOING TO END; it is we, our play with mother nature, the environment; a sudden explosion of the bombs; due to negligence; may bring it to end. Please respond and share your comments and opinions on this. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 27/11/2012

hi, I know only about the kali-yug as i am hearing about it from long time, no idea about the rest. yes of course many predictions are being made about the world and the changes going to take place. Many are worried about his. If Golden age is the one which is going to begin then its well and good. If the explosions of bombs and others bad affects are going to end then this will be the great news for us. Hope everything will be as predicted.

Hi professor, I´m from Mexico and I do not believe in the mayan prediction. Here at my country most people, we joke with the mayan prediction. I think that people has always tried to predict the end of the world. I think that´s why many people make jokes here in my country about this mayan prediction. And if it were true the best is always have faith to face any trouble. We should try to give each day the best of us, however the world is. If it were near its end we should give the best, and if it were not, we should give the best, too. Don´t you think so? Blessings professor Bhuwan... dainy

This might sound disrespectful, but hear me out please! I don't personally believe in "End Times" prophecies. When I was younger, I was taught about the rapture and used to think it might be true. Nowadays, I see people making predictions and decisions based on the latest "End Times" trend. It usually leads people to make bad decisions because they aren't worrying about the environment, future generations, or even their own futures! This is also why some people don't care about wars and opportunities for poor people...they trust that these are just signs of the End Times, so why stop them! While I am skeptical of this age that you have spoken about, I am happy to see that this philosophy encourages people to respect the earth and future generations. Instead of telling people to be fearful and hoard as much as possible, maybe adherents of this philosophy will be more peaceful and generous. If people see a brighter future, they will be more likely to create a brighter future through their present actions.

I clearly said, this new age will produce the best environment for living life from the soul level. Life on Earth will be vibrating at a higher frequency where the Gods and Goddesses will become more and more visible and also be active in governing the world. Hi Professor, I agree, if there is to be an end to civilization, it will be because of us. Mankind has the ability to end life on the planet, but hopefully that will not happen. The earth is a beautiful place and we should live together in peace. Blessings.

Hello Professor. I think you have a very interesting take on things. I have not thought that the world would end with the changing of the Mayan calendar but I have thought it would be significant in some way. I do wonder about all the warfare in the middle east and the warships approaching Israel. I wonder if the world may be endangered by those who will choose to use nuclear weapons...

Namaskar sir What has to happen will happen no matter who or whether anyone predicts it or not. Whether Mayan Calendar comes into reality or not, if the world was/is supposed to end on any day, it would happen and no one can change that. So I have never to worry about what will happen. As for these 4 Yug in Indian calculations, I have heard and read some about them, but otherwise, there is no rationale and no proof if those ages happened. Scientifically, the Sun is estimated to be 5 Billion years old and another 5 billion years to go. The Earth is 4.6 billion years old and The oldest known hominid, or human like species, has been dated at 4.4 million years old. That is more meaningful to me that the 4 Yug Theory.

Hi professor! My apologies for my lack of education. Yet I think most on this planet have less education than you! I can only venture to guess what's going to happen on that day in December. It was once said that all we have to fear is fear itself. I believe all we have to fear is mankind itself. We are constantly in a state of self destruct. The earth has only taken care of us if we use our heads! We in turn work at trying to destroy it. I believe like you we will be the ones to destroy what we have. Whether we do on the final day or gradually, it will be mankind we can blame.
