Making a good site for getting referrals

Hello everyone, Recently I've read a lot of materials on the Internet concerning ways of making money online and I found some 20 sites that have been online and paying for more than two years (Yes, myLot is one of them and is so far my favourite one :) ). So far so good. I registered in all of them and started making money. Then I decided I will make twice the amount if I found 5-6 referrals. Ok, most sites recommend recruiting your family and friends... didn't work out. None of them want to join and as I searched the Internet I found out that many people have similar experiences and that getting direct referrals is truly a challenging task. One of the best ways to get referrals seems to be though a self-made website so I searched online for places that let you create your own website and created one. So, what do you think of my experiences and do you think this is the best way to get direct referrals? Also, I would like to get some opinions on my website, especially things like structure, background, fonts and style as a whole. Do the rules at myLot allow me to post a link? Sorry, I'm pretty new here, this is I think my fifth post on mylot.

I think your new site is nice. I don't really know much about creating sites myself but I like how you've kept it simple and I like hte background image. I'd reccommend writing a small review for each site as well with your experiences as that will be helpful to people and they may join under your referal link

Only do what you feel comfortable doing. If you feel you can handle and run a forum then sure. I don't mind sites that are smple and to the point and at the same time being visually appealing. Makeing it too complicated is a turn off I think

Thanks you for the good response. I'm quite new in creating sites myself. I feel it's too simple, that's why I'm wondering if I should add some new sections. I have already written a review for each site. Do you think that I should add a forum page?

You can promote your link for getting referral with many ways, but not here my friend, your discuss will be deleted by admin.Maybe you can promote to other forums, and put your link on your profile, beside that you can write articles with similar topic your link, put your link there.

I don't want to promote a link, I would like to get ideas as to how to best create a website to promote my links. Actually, some of the sites I included (like Amazon) will not make me any money whatsoever but I think they can help people.

Ok, I will try to clarify things. I made a site a webs.com. I find their service decent since it has many useful tools. The website is located at http://phoenixheart.webs.com/ So, please I need advice on the following things: 1/ background - I put a blue rose since it's a symbol of love and prosperity and I like how it looks. Do you think I looks nice nice and if not, please make a suggestion of what I should use as a background and possibly leave a link to the picture. 2/ fonts - the text I used is gray and I haven't played much with the style. Do you think it looks good and what color and font do you think is best that I use? 3/ content - so far I have something like a brief home page and two lists with profiles of sites. Do you think I should change the structure somehow and what other content do you think I should add? - maybe forum, blog, contact information? 4/ message below Phoenixheart - at the left top corner of the website I put the name Phoenixheart and put below it stay foolish, stay hungry. Do you like how it sounds? Do you think I should change it with something else? Do you think I chose a good font and color for it?

A pleasant day Phoenixheart1, Honestly it is quite difficult to get quality referrals since nowadays a lot of scam sites are rising. In this regard, you must be working double time to convince people that you are really saying the truth or else, you would end up nothing under your list. Perhaps, better to establish first a good reputation then from there, you can start spreading the word to attract a new referrals.

Very true, that's why I did some research online and compiled a list of websites that have been online and paying for at least two years. So, how and where should I establish a good reputation?

If you send me the URL address of your website, I can convey my opinion about it. But for it, you need to send me a friend request.
