How to celebrate my boyfriend' birthday? I cannot decide

My boyfriend's birthday is coming. But I cannot decide how to celebrate. We just move to a new place and we have rare friends here. Should I buy him flowers to him? Maybe it is weird that a girl buying flowers to a man. OR we will go out to see a romantice movie? This will be the first time that I celebrate birthday for him. I am a little nervous that I cannot prepare for the best. What I wish is that he can live a happy life and be health.

Since you are new in that place, maybe you can invite few new friends for a simple party.
If you really want to surprise him, set a simple party for him.
Invite new friends but never tell your boyfriend about it.
It's like a mob party.

Light dinner and finger foods is best.
Take sandwiches,cup cakes, sweets and salads.
These foods are good to keep everyone light especially when you opt for a dance.

I don't know, flowers might be a little too feminine. The movie is a nice choice, if he is for romantic movies. Or a nice dinner, maybe... or just a nice coffee, depending on what you can afford... and buy him a nice gift (a quality box of chocolates is perfect).
