...when, lo and behold. They already exist! http://www.the-all-in-one-company.co.uk/adult_romper_suits.php Well I never, isn't the internet a marvellous tool for finding such important things out? Why was I looking in the first place? To be honest, I get sick of taking off and putting on clothes every day, especially during the winter. All those layers, I get really fed up of it. So, whilst I was in the bathroom taking a shower this thought popped into my head, "Why can't adults wear romper suits like babies do? I do have a lovely fleece, pink dressing gown but even that's a pain to wrap around myself in 2 seconds. A romper suit would be ideal. I could whip it on and off in no time!" And there's me thinking only weird people who liked wearing..er..baby clothes wore romper suits. According to the site in the link above, EVERYONE should have one! I don't know what the postman would make of it though..you know, delivering a parcel and I'm stood there in a bright orange romper suit. Mind you, I bet he's seen it all...or maybe too much with some residents..if you get my drift. Which romper suit is your favourite and why? I like the orange one with the pouch on the front with the hood and ears on the top. Well, I would wouldn't I?

I don't think I would like a romper suit. For one thing, it might get a little too warm at times, and for another, I can see that you would have to take it off to use the toilet. I would rather be a little too cool than too warm.

The toilet issue is my biggest reason against them, too.

Don't they just zip up the front? You'd be out in one in no time.

I think I am in agreement with you there BarBaraPrz

Seriously my friend, you DO NOT want one of these suits. Have you ever tried to put one on a baby? In spite of all the buttons and snaps it feels like you are dislocating the bubby's shoulders just to get the arms in. Do you really imagine you can wear JUST the suit. No my dear. You still have to wear undies and all the layers underneath your playsuit to keep yourself warm. If you think you must though, go for it but don't expect to go to the toilet while you are wearing it because you have to take off the top part to get off the bottom part and you will freeze before you get to sit down. Stick to your snuggly leggings under ski pjs and skivvies and a coat and whatever else you need. Seriously. You can get a whole lot of any clothing off before you can get one of these things off.

I'd bet those are great for folks in colder places than Texas! I got overheated yesterday and was kind of queasy because of it. And it wasn't HOT outside, just warm inside.

Yeah, it gets cold in Texas. The longest freeze in Austin was like 3 weeks. Generally it comes in 3 day snaps, gets nice and then another 3 days - I'll take it. It rains too. Our water comes from lakes that are actually reservoirs, but even they are getting low. I hear that they are "cutting off" the rice farmers down stream, but I've also heard that said rice farmers are changing their crops - maybe to houses... I also heard that they are taking water from our river (down stream) and sending it to Corpus Christi which is really silly since our river empties into a totally different part of the Gulf!

Is it EVER cold in Texas? Where does all your water come from..you know, when there's a drought? Is it imported from other counties, I'd love to know.

It so happens, I was in the mall yesterday and happened to see them in one of the stores. I didn't really look at them (not my style) but I did see that one was like the Superman costume.

You can get just plain looking ones..like the orange one I like. I remember my SIL buying me one of those Snuggies. They are a complete waste of time and Mum ended up cutting it up for the cats to sleep on.

I didnt know what rompers were so I had to go to the link you put up to see haha. Here they are called blanket sleepers. My kids love them I would never be comfortable in them though. My sister has some and she loves them lol. I dont know I do think they look pretty ridiculous on adults but hey whatever your comfortable in is fine with me I just couldnt personally wear one.

My discussion is a bit 'tongue in cheek' lol. I don't think I'll be buying one either to be honest..it's just all this dressing gets on my nerves sometimes, especially in winter when I wear more layers. I think 'blanket sleeper' is a miles better name than 'romper suit.'
