Her mosquito bite scars won't go away

My poor little baby got a few mosquito bites on her arms and a couple on her legs, when I left her at my mother's place. It's been more than a month, and the scars won't fade away. The red marks have now turned to dark patch like scars.
The doctor gave me a tube of Bactroban, an antibacterial cream, and I continued to apply it on her for more than 2 weeks, until its consumed. However, the scars are still there. I don't want to just get any over-the-counter cream or ointment for her.
Do you have first hand experience on this with your kids, or maybe when you were a kid, and how did you or your parents treat it?

I remember my mom would diligently apply sebo de macho or petroleum jelly on our mosquito bites scars. Also, we used J&J milk bath, it doesn't lighten up the scars but it does soften the skin around it so it lightens up a bit and have the same surface as the healthy, unscarred skin.

That's something I could try. I have a ready stock of sebo de macho and I have pjelly for her creases. I could buy a small bottle of milk bath, too.

Hi
hope your daughter is well now. All the scars gone away. When i was child my parents used to use neem leaves for treating .I mean my grandparents actually as they are elders they know well about these.

The marks are still visible. They are dark marks on her skin. Good thing, the ones on the face are slowly fading away.

Sorry to hear about this, too bad for the baby but i think since he is just a baby the scars will go away too, in due time. I hope it does. I remember it usually is put on by sebo de macho here in the Philippines. But then i think only rosehip oil is the most natural oil you can use to let go of those scars.
