Growing Happiness and Success

At times my goals and dreams seem so far off and at other times it seems they are right within my grasp. I have been trying to figure out how to make more of them within reach in a shorter time frame. With that in mind I was reminded of this quote "The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet" by James Oppenheim, American Poet. So my question becomes how can I get it grower faster?
