Hi Hatley, do not worry about it too much. You can explain for the typo error made when someone responded to your discussion. So far i have not face typo error in my title, but i do make typo mistakes in my responds and comments sometimes. Certain typos will change the whole meaning of the sentence. But i get to amend it since i am just responding or commenting. If it happens on the title, i am sure it is quite difficult as not many respondents may read through your explanation to other respondents, but just replied based on your title. But anyhow, everyone do make some typo mistakes sometimes. Don't get too affected by it. Have a nice day.

It is quite easy to miss a typo when editing. Our eye may see it but our brain reads what it thinks is correct anyway. Maybe I should send you some marbles for Christmas. One of the funniest graduation stunts I ever knew about (but did not get to see) was at the local college. A number of graduates each took marbles in their hand and when they shook the hand of the college president they passed them off to him. When he finally had so many he could no longer hold them and they dropped the next student calmly smirked "I see the president is losing his marbles". Honestly, I am not sure it really happened, I just know I was working in Wal Mart running a garden cash register and the students who intended to do this came to my checkout to purchase their marbles. They told me about their intended prank.

So they really "got his goat"? I am glad there were elevators, although goats maybe do not mind going down stairs. My former brother in law says you can lead a cow up stairs but you will never get one to go down stairs and I guess they led one upstairs at his high school. I never heard the rest of the story.

thankd Garden gerty for my first laugh of the season. that would have surpassed the one they did at the U of South Dakota Vermilion when I was a sophomore. the kids got tired of the president of the college always bragging about his goat that he had tied up behind the Administration building. ON April fools day the male students from one of the frats untied the goat and led him up three stories to the top of the Admins building and tied him to a potted tree there. These boys had to take the goat back down two flights of elevators and retie him back where he belonged. they were forced to lose a whole quarter of the year for that one either they had to take that as punishment or get kicked out of college all together. He did give them that choice. One let himself get kicked out the other two just skipped one quarter.

I know how that feels. I wrote an article once and the url of that article gets generated on its own. I don't know how but somehow there was a 1 in the url. I deleted in the article title but the 1 is still in the url. Hate when I look at it.

hi rockyi While if you make an error in writing a response or a comment you can at least explain your errors in a new comment but when you post a discussion and there's a hideous error in the title there is no way to explain what the heck you really meant.,I truly did not sees that error until after I had posted it.

Hi Hatley, typo happens to be appear, most probably we are completely concentrating on what we think even though we are looking at what we have typed. It's normal dear and this happens to me quite often. typo still available even though I have get all the typing content double checking Typo seems to be very common here and it's a very small matters as well. I'm happy that it doesn't affect the discussion at all as we are so cleaver that we understand the whole content clearly. Happy posting and have a nice day!

Sometimes I think we just look at things too hard. That's when I get the easy things wrong! I keep getting messages about being able to read a paragraph where the letters are all mixed up and the brain just accepts the words as normal as long as the first and last letters of a word do not change. Maybe that's what happened?! I think of someone looking for a bag of marbles when they say they think they've lost their marbles. I think it was in the movie 'Hook' with Robin Williams where I seen this but think it's hilarious every time I think about it!

hi mizz oh that was a funny movie and Robin Williams is one of my favorites too. Oddly it is the easy things where I usually find my errors so you could be right in that. Oh I have read those where the words are garbled bu t as long as you have a key you can really read them. But I would sure rather have my words correct to start with.

hi laydee I am so glad I am not the only one. I want my typing to look perfect but I rush then I get careless so have to slow down. but again one wants to make more money while we still can and so I get careless again.Yet I also want to have fun here too so relaxing might actually help my misspelling too. I do really cherish all the friends I have made here and its so much fun to comment back on all the responses I get.

I feel better now and too my son called me and told me it was just so nasty ou he is coming to see me Saturday instead of tonight. Its really nasty out today here in Southern California cold wet and windy and drizzling rain, not really raining hard but enough to make you miserable without an umbrella.

If you are losing your mables, at least you get them back in between times, which is more than can be said for the rest of us. Think what losing his marbles would have meant for della Quercia, Michelangelo or Bernini! (Actually Michelangelo did lose his marbles, or at least one of them. The statues on his tomb were carved by lesser sculptors).

Hatley, don't worry a lot, this kind of mistakes are quite common. Some times we will do some mistakes in our title with or without our knowledge, since mylot don't have the edit option after submitting our topic, so it will remain in the mistake stage, fellow mylotters have the ability to understand our topic, so don't worry about the mistakes, typo is quite common to every one

LOL. arrrrgh such an arrrgh... when you checked on everything then you forgot to check the title having typo error. it is really so... @!@#@&*@@... because titles are fewer words and having mistake on it is quite disappointing LOL. but it is ok Ms Hatley you are still [b]Marble/b]lous. And your discussion is still one great one, which a mylotter shouldn't miss. I should not miss that. I will check that out later. LOL don't sob... here put your lipstick on and let's rock and roll.

In my experience a typo in a title or some place similar is much easier to overlook than anywhere else in something you write. I know way back when I typed my dissertation on a typewriter when I got it back from the printer there were no typos in the body since I had caught them all. But there were some typos in chapter titles and figure captions. For some reason it just seems a lot easier to overlook them there than anywhere else. At least that is true for me and apparently you and probably for a lot of other people.

hi stealthy yes I do believe you are right as I really went over my discussion with a fine toothed comb but simply forgot m y short title and that was the most obvious of errors, lol. I had that happen on a novel I never did get published. No errors in the chapters but chapter headings yes. So live and learn and laugh again. Tonight I am happy as my son did not come tonight because it was really nasty out with rain and wind and cold too.But he will come to see me Saturday so I am' happy about that.Tomorrow we have a fifty percent chance of rain.

Don't worry about it, Hatley. It happens all the time. Just be glad you were not ME yesterday. I was in my Audio/Video Production class and we are in the editing process of the music video we finished shooting last week. For the life of me, I could not understand what the instructor was trying to tell me. I did ok on Monday in that class, but yesterday was awful. I started crying a couple of times. The stuff just was NOT getting in my brain for some reason.

Well just chalk it up to a bad day and perhaps get your instructor to do some one on one instructing as I had to while taking Latin. It is an awful feeling I know when You are not grasping what the instructor is telling you. I would ask for some help there. Hope it is better now.,

Don't you hate it when that happens? I really wish that they had an edit button- maybe even make it active for only an hour after a post is made so we could fix those things when we see them AFTER we hit "submit"! My sister made a blunder like that on facebook the other day. My daughter made us shirts to run a race together for my sister. My sister meant to post "nice shirts" but she left the worst letter out... the "r"... one of my minister friends posted under it.. "I am guessing you meant "shirts"! That was one good laugh for sure!

hi inerita4 Yes indeed the problem is now solved got all my marble. my poor rommie just asked me if we had had Thanksgiving yet. Oh my she is getting worse.she does not remember any thing long term or short term nor does she even try. I am her calendar, her mama , her nursemaid at times.I see to it that t we go down to meals together and frankly I wonder what the hell she did when I was in the hospital for three days. She lost her glasses which she had been wanting and waiting for . She would keep them on the seat of her walker and frankly I think she went for a walk outside, they fell off, and that was that. I cannot lock our room as she would lose her damned key so I had 22 dollars stolen from me. no fun.

thats it inertia I am so glad I still have my mind working as it should. The other night I had been out shopping and came up to my room around six thirty pm and my ditsy roomie had turned off my light and my computer. she did not know how to turn it off right and she also turned off my monitor. I was so angry I was crying as I could not figure out how to get the monitor on so went downstairs and got rocky he also cou d not figure out how she had turned it off.well I sat down here then dawned on me the middle bu ton, I pushed on it and it came on and I could resume my lotting but she did something that disconnected me from the internet so that was easy to fix as I just reset the modem and the router. Then I was back on the internet . I think I made such a fuss she will never do that again. I showed her the right way and tried to get it in her mind that just shutting it off any other way could damage files.I always shut if off properly. With window xp professional its really easy to turn it on and off.Bu t it was too complicated for her so she promised she would never touch it again. That time I agree that I felt "that senile old bat"., I wanted to hit her but of course I would never ever do that to someone like that.she cannot help most of what she does or says. So I try to be good to her.

That senile old bat. LOL, Just kidding. I hear you. I just hope I never get to that point in my life that I cannot remember things. That has to be hard to deal with. I don't mean the person that forgets I mean the person that has to deal with them. Thats gotta be hard. But I look at it this way, if I ever lose my mind and start forgetting, maybe every time I see things I don't remember, they will seem new and exciting. That would be refreshing. Just watch after her and make sure she don't hurt herself.
