I am a nut job when it comes to movies. As soon as a sad moment happens I cried. I stifle it at the cinema or if I'm with my nieces and nephews. And as soon as the sad moment happen they all turn towards me and said ohhhh Aunt why are you crying. Last night I cried a lot I watched 2 different movies it's a love story and a drama which i really felt it I can relate in every situation. I am the only one who is awake and my niece that I shared in my bed is already sleeping so she can't laugh at my cry on cue during movies. I cried from halfway by the end I was sobbing. And due to that movie from last night I am bit dramatic to my boyfriend today and he noticed it and said ohhh hunnee too much movies from last night. haha! Have you experienced crying while watching movies?

Hello dear, Both me and my wife get emotional at times when watching movies, and luckily we are roughly on the same page, even if it doesn't happen at the same movies always and sometimes I laugh and other times she laughs about the other one getting emotional (in a good way, not sarcastic). Oh you should watch "The Odd Couple" - you will really enjoy this (and there shouldn't be crying involve, but much laughter) - it's a movie from about 40 years ago, with Walter Matthew and Jack Lemmon. Give it a try ! Have a good day.

Yes I have, and I hate it! I have some sad things going on in life, so I don't want to cry more than I have to. But sometimes it is cathartic. Though these days I won't watch a movie if I know it is sad.

I seldom cry on movies, I only cry when the story really coincides or at least relates to my life. In many cases, I don't. But my wife is the exact opposite, because in almost every sad movie, she cries. I couldn't remember a dramatic movie wherein my wife didn't cry. But I usually don't mind, it just shows that the movie was well made. :)

very normal,i cry too,in movies, soaps name it.and i also get emotionaly attached to movies such that at some point my actions are attributed to what i have been watching.my husband even has learnt what kind of scenes make me cry and turns to watch me and laugh about it.i believe a movie that brings out such emotions is really a strong movie and deserves good ratings

Oh yes. All the time and sometimes watching TV as well. Sometimes movies can really affect me. My husband knows I am going to cry and he thinks it is funny so the moment something sad happens he immediately starts looking at me to see if I am crying. I hate that he does that but he finds it so funny. That is why I enjoy watching some movies all by myself then I can cry all I want to and nobody says anything or looks at me or anything.

All the time, lol. I'm well-known among my circle of friends for being the sensitive one who cries at movies and TV shows and stuff.

One characteristic that you can tell that you are watching a great movie is that when you realize that you can relate to it and you’re moved to every scenes the movie is showing. Crying while watching movies is very common, it just goes to show that the movie is effective in putting up a good storyline and how it caters to its viewers meaning and empathy throughout its story.

And here I though I was the only one who went sob sob while watching movies. I think its normal to cry and get emotional while watching movies. Movies are made to touch us right?

Rarely have I cried when I watch a movie, but it happens. And I think it's not really the plot or outcome of the movie in general that makes me teary-eyed. It's because I could really relate to that movie. I mean, what happened in the story has happened to me. My wife though cries every time something sad happens in a movie. I guess she really empathizes with the stories.

This is why I hate watching movie with other people, I like watching movie alone because I can cry when there is sad scene in the movie. I know if I watched movie with other and they saw me crying, they would tell me that the movie is not real, it's just a made up story so no need to cry. But sometime the reason why I cry is because the scene is a really touching scene and something I can relate with, or I imagine myself what if it happens to me, the movie maybe just a fictional story but sometimes the situation is somewhat we can find it in real life. Watching a sad scene in a movie and crying while watching it could help me to let out what I feel inside.

YEah i do cry sometimes when watching movies with very hard drama. When me and my hubby watch dramatic movies he always tease me when the dramatic part is showing he will said "she's gonna cry, she's gonna cry" and then he'll laugh out loud. So I tried not to cry even though i'm teary but i'll try not to shed tears.. ahaha i don't know if some guy would cry too if they watch heavy drama movies, coz i know it is normal to girls.

i cry too but not all sad movies can make me cry, only few of it, if its really catch my heart. that why i don't like watching that kind of movies. i prefer more thriller or comedy

I remembered then my aunt cried because an actor admitted that he was ugly and people thought he was really ugly. She really cried. Though I was quite touched, it was quite funny. I think it is normal to cry when you are touched by the story of the movie and story of some people. Sometimes, I cried too. Have a nice day!

I'm such a crybaby when it comes to movies. Most specially when I could relate it to myself. But when I get over emotional I start to think that it must be the hormones fault not me being too over dramatic. Lol
