I think she needs to learn what is right before saying it

The girl I work with will start talking without making sure it is right. She said first our online work training isnt paid, or the extras we do. A few weeks ago she said it's paid per length say 20 hours you get paid per hour. Awhile later she said it's by grade you get on it. I asked her who told her this, and she said they were talking about it. I really don't know so I emailed the owner asking, so I know for sure. I wonder how much this happens in jobs, where one person tells another person, and its like broken telephone.

Hi Ricki, Getting several different messages is really confusing. I imagine that happens quite a bit. I think emailing the owner to ask was the right thing to do. Have a great weekend!

I think you were smart going to the owner to the information. Your co worker really should figure out what she is talking about before spreading misinformation around.

People do this at my job too they tell me one thing and then I hear another. I learned never to listen to my co workers and only get the corrected information from my supervisor or boss. I hate getting the jits of things from people that isn't right and doing something I shouldn't be doing etc. I hope your boss explains to you the right way of how it is done.

I totally understand where you are coming from. Sometimes, you tend to lose your trust to these kind of people who are not sure about things but sounds very confident. They literally want to be the source of the news so whether some things are not really confirmed yet, they will go ahead and announce it. Probably these things make them feel good. I don't really know but lets not judge them as we do not really know how they feel about it.

Poor communication between management often leads to this. And it really is annoying to be told different "stories". It is really much better to ask the head in charge so that we are aware what we should be expecting and at the same time, the manager could catch the attention os the staff who might be relaying different information.

Half baked knowledge/ information is a dangerous thing when people responsible to communicate passes on the information casually without considering the consequences. You have done the correct thing to email the owner & find out the actual situation without wasting time to get a solution.

hi Ricki its a lot like newbies here who tell other newbies wrong stuff about my lot that they heard from othe sites. It never dawns on them that if they want the truth about how my lot works read the my lot information,.Your girl you work with reminds me of that game we used to play. I started it by saying Jane really liked Steven but Joe she also liked. Finally she married Steven. but the next person in the circle has to repeat this and add to it. It gets really funny by the time it gets back to me as its altogether different. They will ha ve married Joe to Jane's sister and then he runs off with Jane and divorces Jane'sister and Steven marries Janes sister. lol]
