Going to work in rain

This is one of the worse feeling , having to go to work during the rainy season . I just want to stay in and cuddle especially in those early morning when that's the best time to sleep . Every where just wet , at least when I was in high school , I could fake being sick , this is why I wish I could work at home because I love sleeping until late .

I hate going to work on rainy days too, especially the strong rains. Just walking from the house to the gate, my clothes are all wet and how much more from gate to workplace. I'm having a really stressful time during rainy days.

You're right, it's so nice to sleep when raining, under those comfy sheets and pajamas.

and when the dear silverfox would start working from home, she would feel so very reluctant to move out of the blankets during winters that she would even not do much of her online work from home... and I will have severe competition with my dear friend as I am the laziest of all around dear. Seriously, working from home has its own set of problems and for those who are lazy (or at least tend to be lazy), things are worst with work at home.

Lol I have company , yes I am lazy lol so maybe its good thing I am not working from home because I would probably get fired . So true , if I was working at home I would only be able to do works at night and they probably say no way , no flexi hours for you

Hey that is true lol , the time difference in India and Asia is different . Would definitely work to my advantage if I was in a country with different time zone like yours .

if I was working at home I would only be able to do works at night In that scenario, consider migrating to India or any country in Asia. You can work pleasantly for some US client from here as when it is night here, it is day there. I can say so as I too prefer working during the nights and I have one client from US who keeps me busy

i agree with you..when i wake up and hear the raindrops falling, i get uneasy thinking if i should get up or snooze again and wait for the rain to stop. this is a trouble knowing that it will give you a hardtime to travel to your workplace. better sleep over it

Yup when we hear the rain , its easy for us to just say let sleep a little more until the rain stop are at least cool down a bit . The traffic and the slippery roads are not very comforting .

Same feeling here...word by word. If the rains are light(not heavy), then I dont mind to go out, but if it is heavy then ther is not point to go to work, since I would drench, then I'll have to explain that it is so heavy rain to the bosses, I wont be able to make it to work, so please excuse...work from home would be another option... Sleeping until late is the best feeling during this time....cheers.

I dont mind when the rain fall a bit but when it fall almost every day for a week its hard to get up every day especially on Mondays . Mondays are the hardest day of the week to get up out of bed and even worse when its raining . Its about time work place try to make working from home available especially for these days .

I have never experience snow , and i am always telling myself i want to but maybe when I live in a snow country and have to work then I will see what others have been talking about and then I will want to stay in also lol. When the time is cold you want to be somewhere warm with a home comfort.

I fell for ya but I do work at home so things like that I don't worry about but it does get rather boring here sometimes but I enjoy what I do but my New Years resolution is to get a job outside the house. Maybe a par time job but I was going to wait until all the bad weather that might come this way ends like the icy roads and snow.

What do you do from home ? work place should now have online work days for when it is raining . My father in the states always talk about the snow , saying he cant wait for it to be warm too lol . I think we all rather be inside when the time is wet and too cold .

I am the same way. I hate going to work when it is rainy. Not only cause its cuddle weather and sleeping weather, but there are a lot of people here who can't even drive in rain and there may be a lot of accidents out on the road which causes a lot of traffic. I wish I could work from home too, just so I can avoid traffic and avoid nasty weather too.

Hi, That small droplets of rain I hear is but the edge of that biggest typhoon ever to hit here in thirty years. We have been tracking Typhoon Bopha since it was just a tropical depression down in the South Pacific and I expect it to make landfall anytime soon. Got to prepare for it, rescue bags and all in the rains.

Yup so many things can happen when it rain , and when you are traveling a lone and the road are slippery and dark its not fun . I sometime drive through a dangerous river road , the bridge is a landmark and have no railing if the water get high you better remember the road are else you may drive right off in the river . I dont used that road much because I am not from that town anymore but sometime I stay there .

I know the feeling. It's a bit of a challenge for me just to get out of bed when it's raining. But that's actually not my biggest worry though. Rainy season means flooded streets and heavy traffic. Just the thought of these makes me want not to go to work

Thats also another problem the traffic , I dont experience flood but other people in some other town do here. I reach home late because of heavy traffic .

Well, I understand that having to go to work on rainy days, it is very boring. That said, however, I'm happy for you that at least you have a job. I arrived at the age of 37 years old, still unemployed! And unfortunately for me, who am also an invalid, at the moment there is no prospect even in the near future! After all, I too am pleased to sleep in the morning, at least this is a small luxury that I can still afford.

Hi silverfox, that sounds like a brilliant idea, not to travel that road much because that sounds like an accident waiting to happen,, Be careful and have a good week...

Agree the more rain the more accident may occur and the traffic is too much most times. Yeah we have to be careful in these bad weather .

I think you are missing a very very good opportunity by staying at home and sleeping instead of going out in the rains. Just try once and you will realize what you ave lost. Its a very different feeling of walking, working in rain. really i am speechless, i can't express how excited i am by thinking of that feeling. My sincere advice to you is to try once and tell me your experience.

Well I have been going to work every day in the rain , the opportunity I am missing is the chance to stay home when it rain . I enjoy the rain when I dont have to think about work , if I am home I would be able to relax and smell the rain .

Hi! Yes going out in rain when you intend to sleep indoors is surely going to make you feel more lazy. :D So get out there, enjoy the rain while you walk, observe those little droplets...they have their own world inside them :)

I would buy a bright, cheerful big umbrella. And bright, cheerful rain boots and a cheerful raincoat. Rain gear that looks stylish and trendy. Anything to brighten a rainy day. Then, go splash in a puddle and kick up those rain boots. Have a little fun in the rain - then rainy days don't seem so dreary. Have a sunshiny day - even in the rain!

I love the rain and all your suggestion about the bright cheerful rain gears lol . The problem is having to work during all that time , wish I could enjoy it more .
