My mom saw the slippers I bought online using my mylot earnings.
It was just plain black, so simple and kind of unnoticeable for me.
But then, she noticed it and said, "oh, you have new slippers!"
She asked me
...how much does it costs, I said 350pesos($9).
...why didn't I buy one for her, I said I bought it online so I have to save first.
She then told me to buy her 3 pairs of the slippers - black, brown and red.
When I asked her the money, she was like,

Okay, why three? I agreed to buy her a pair and then suddenly asks for three pairs??! 
She's really one of a kind. Having one pair is enough, and she still have lots of slippers. I didn't buy my slippers not until my other slippers was broken.
Sometimes, I'm giving up to her wishes - all of them are expensive. When all I buy for myself are the cheap ones. And she has more clothes, shoes and slippers than me! 
Urggh, mom!

Hahahah! Sounds like my mom, too. 
I remember one time, we went to Rustan's. I wasn't planning on buying anything coz obviously, even though the items are on sale, still it could still be expensive. My mom loves shoes. She saw a pair which was 50% off. It was a nice pair and looks good on her long, slim legs. It was a bit expensive, but she could afford it anyway. So, I went through other stuff inside the store and when I came back for her, she was carrying 5 pairs of shoes!!!! She said, she couldn't pass on the "cheap" price of those stilletos! Oh gosh! She is more of a jetsetter than I am!

Are they an octopus? Why do they need too much pairs, they only have a pair of feet.

This sounds like the mother I have. Though my mom has everything at her disposal she is still envious of us having new things and insist that we get one for her too. I find old people are one of a kind. My mother is a very kind old lady but at the same time her wants or greed amuse me. Being a pious catholic she has donated a big piece of prime land to build a church yet she didn't realize that she is better off than her children who can only afford to buy after payday. Regardless of the price of what we bought when she sees it she wants the same. My elder sister who is better off would always buy two of anything she purchased as my mom is always at the back of her mind. If she only buy one surely my mother would beg it from her.

Oh well having a mom who refuse to understand not everyday is sunshine need a Santa on standby. My sister fits in the bill. She wanted us to be like her who give willingly and no false hope. As I always promise her I'll buy her anything if I have enough funds. But my funds never seem enough. I truly appreciate her generousity. I wouldn't have moved to a new house had she not given me this house where I am staying now.

That's good that there's a part of her sharing the big things she have. My mom transforms into some 'good samaritan' whenever there are people in need.
One day, I went home with my jeans on. She said, "oh, you have new pants. You should have bought one for me too" - that's her line every time she sees me with something new. I rarely buy things for me because like what you said, we have to wait for the payday. I wish our mothers knew how hard it is for us to give them their desires. But your mom is still lucky because of your sister.

You should surprise your mom with at least one pair of those slippers which you purchased online... or better you can gift her the other pair... or if she prefers the black one, why not gift that one! I know, sizes may be different... and if they are, you should try to get one for her...

I understand it better dear.
But.. you missed the sizes part... or you dont want to share the slippers with mommy?
I ask this because in my family, my dad's and brothers' footsizes are same. Mine are different. So brother and dad share their slippers sometimes and wear alternate. Same with my mom and my brother's wife. Hence I thought that it might be one option that you can try too.
And yes, I do pray that your online earnings increase and you do get paid out better, so that you have your watch and the slippers for mommy (both would be great gifts for Christmas)... as for the chocos... they can wait

Okay, I forgot that you mentioned about the size. My mom's are longer by an inch so she can't have mine. 
I do hope for good earnings from here. I will try my best to make lots of money this two weeks. Because I will be busy on the succeeding weeks and will be absent here.

Dear sids, I don't have enough earnings to buy the 3 pairs. I was actually lucky that the slippers has only one color so she agreed to have the black one.
I have to save first for the watch and then the slippers and then the chocos.
I think she will get the slippers as my Christmas gift next year - same with your chocos.

I thought she wouldn't notice it. I think she's not collecting, she just wants to have them in different color to pair with her clothes. Well, black matches to all colors, right?
I'm saving my earnings for now because I want to buy a watch. So with the minimum payout, I guess I'll be able to get the watch after 8 months.

Thanks for sharing this discussion. Well that is really surprising to hear that your mother owns slippers and clothes than you. I know she must be willing to buy more slippers after seeing you getting a new slipper and i think that was pretty obvious to happen as we also aspire to get new things if we see anyone getting a new stuff in front of us.
I think u should better stay silent and listen to what she say and i am sure she will understand that she was saying a bit more in front of u. Ha ha ha.

Yes, I bought slippers because my previous pair was already destroyed.
I also bought one for my fiance since he has no slippers at home. And also a bag. So I got lots of stuffs from my earnings online.
You're right that she doesn't need to buy a new one. She still has lots of slippers and demanding me to buy her 3 pairs!
I even saved the money from my earnings and bought useful items but having too many pairs isn't useful at all and that's too much.

Well, tell her to get her own MyLot account and let her have FUN earning on MyLot so that she can buy herself her own slippers. Mothers are capable. I know because I am a Mother and I am working hard on MyLot so that I can earn for myself. Mothers are very capable people. I would NEVER ask my children to buy me three pairs of slippers. I have three children so I might ask each of them to buy me one pair each, but never would ask one child to buy me three. Show her how to set up her own MyLot account.

I'd love to teach her about mylot but the internet connection in our place is worse.
We actually had a connection before but seems to be not working. There's no signal and so she disconnected it.
If only there's a better connection, I will definitely ask her to be here.
I think the $9 is cheap for her so she's asking me to buy 3 pairs but that's not cheap for me and I worked hard here in mylot for that.
