Normally I am an early bird. I like to wake up around 4 or 5 in the morning. Because having 5 children and homeschooling and working part time online as a teacher Im usually pretty busy. So I enjoy this time to listen to a little music, drink some coffee, do a little housework and work on lesson plans. I was at my computer working on lesson plans and I noticed something strange outside the window by my desk and prior to this my dog started going crazy barking and growling. She never does this so I figured I better see what was going on. I put on my shoes and coat and got her leash and went outside with her immediately as soon as I opened the door stepped onto the porch I was over taken by smoke from flames coming from my neighboors house. I thought oh dear God because our neighboor is an elderly gentelmen with some medical issues. I screamed for my husband and dialed 911. Luckly some how he managed to get out by himself. He was very shakening. I brought him out a blanket and cup of coffee with the ambulance people were treating him. he's ok he was taken to the hospital for precaution and he will go and stay with his brother until his house is fix. The fire was extremely close to our house and they said we might have had to leaves as well which scared me because I thought of our children and all of our animals what would we do. Luckily because of the quick response of the firefighters they contained it and we didnt have to evucaate. I am thankful how everything turned it could have been much worse for the both of us. There were definately angels looking over us this morning.

Fire.. it is the most scary incident that could happen to a household. My mother used to say... "it is worst than being robbed 10 times). Whew... it is nice to hear though that he is okay .. and hopefully he will be able to surpassed the trauma he experienced, He is too old for that.

I don't know betty that's what we all wondered. The ambulance people who were treating him kept asking him how he got out. I believe in God so personally I believe it was God that got him out. He was extremely confused almost as if he didnt know where he was at. Im just thankful it turned out like it did.
