Restless Kitty

My cat has been so restless alot of nights now here if I'm not out in the liv room watching TV with the rest of the family at 8-9. She starts to climb the couch and even scratch it which she never does when I'm in that room. She seems to be very alert if she is on the floor in there and I go out of the room, she will even follow me to the kitchen. Now I have had to pick her up three times and bring her in here though and then put her on my dresser where she sleeps for awhile behind me. I have to pick her up now cause she usually falls back and doesn't jump up too well there. Does your cat ever seem to want to be in the same room with you alot? I had at least one other cat who would follow me from room to room at times like this and not be able to sleep if I wasn't in the room with him. Its crazy but at the same time so sweet. Do your pets ever do this?

Awww, your cat loves you! She's so sweet to follow you around! My cat follows me around but only when I've been gone out for long. Otherwise, he's just napping. He also follows me around when he know it's dinner time. Then the meows start once I'm near the cabinet where I keep his wet food.

She is quite clingy sometimes, and I know she wants food when she sits on the floor and just stares at me constantly. That is also her way of telling me she is hungry again. Yes cats will follow you around and meow at you when they know it's dinner time. She was following the other older white stray cat here several years ago for a short time til I brought her inside the house cause I guess he "taught" her how to find food.

My cat follows me everywhere too. I put her in the guest bedroom at night because I'm allergic to cats and I can't have her sleeping with me. When she hears that I'm up she'll go to the door and start meowing and meowing until I let her out. Once she's out she'll follow me everywhere. If I'm in my room typing on the computer she'll usually find a spot to go to sleep. If I walk down to the kitchen, she'll follow me. If I'm going to the bathroom, she'll follow me. If I shut the door in her face, she'll meow by it, jump for the doorknob, and when she's really desperate start body-slamming the door. 
If I'm going up the stairs, my cat will go trotting out ahead of me. I think it's super cute. My sister says that I have a "furry cat-shaped shadow."

There's a lot of cat here in my place..and some don;t have their own owners.. they just roam around from house to house.... but I had a cat before and now... Before,the first cat, I don't like her because she'll just approach you if I have food to give her... I think she stays with us for several years... I don't know where she is now..she just disappears....
And now, there's a cat that always roam around here in our compound...with her kitten! Before , the kitten is very untamed.. she just run when she sees me.. but if i have food...she goes with her mother and eat... and I said to her..I ain't going to give you food if you don't want me to rub you...
From that on... she follows me whenever I went next door..(where a small room connecting to the bathroom and kitchen).. she always rub her body in my legs and whenever I wanted her to go outside my room..she'll just lie down and wanted to rub her inner body...

So she actually understood you when you told her that? Amazing, a kitten who understands English. Some feral cats are afraid of people and that is why they won't let you touch them, it is just their survival instinct, it is nothing personal. You can't really blame them for it. I mean, I would be wary of some people too. I have read up on cats and had them since the age of 12 so I observed many things they do and such.

My cats used to sleep near the foot board. He might be roaming around looking for his mate but still will go back to my room when sleepy .

Mine has this habit now of scratching the couch when she wants me in the living room with her. I went into the room just alittle while ago and she stopped scratching it without me even saying anything to her. It is like her way of telling me to get in that room with her. Kind of funny to think about it.

Some cat very like to follow his/her master. I have a cat like that. She always follow me everywhere in my house even i going to toilet or bath and she wait outside when i going to toilet or bath room. I cannot touch her when she sleep. If i touch she will wake up and follow me even she is very sleepy. Haha what a funny cat.
