Typhoon :(

This happened yesterday morning. I was still asleep when others where panicking because of the typhoon that struck our city. While sleeping, I can still hear the roar of the wind that tried to uproot the tree beside my room. And yes it rained cats and dogs. My mom was trying to wake me up but I'm the one who's hard headed and still went back to sleep. I was that confident because this was the first time in my whole 23 years that a typhoon that strong struck our city. So, when i got back to sleep, my mom just told me to transfer to a bed farther from the window where you could see the tree. So i just transferred. Well, when i woke up, i just went to have my normal routine again. I may have not experienced the worst of what a typhoon could bring but when I went out, I saw the devastation it brought. Even our farm out of town was devastated. Almost 60% of the coconut trees were uprooted, cut, bend down by the strong typhoon. I hope this would be the last. How bout you guys? any experiences of a typhoon or any calamity?

Sorry to what had happened to you. I believe you from Philippine right? I saw the news last night. I feel sorry to see so many people lost their life and so many people crying for losing their loves one due to this typhon. I pray that it won't happen at my place and so far I never have such experience in my life. Well I hope you can be strong to face this challenge. I think there's no way to avoid it if it is going to happen. The best alternative is to move to a place where there's no possibility to have that nature disaster like in center area of the land which far a way from sea side.

when i read your story, i felt sympathetic about your situation. i could relate more to your story because i grew up in bicol where typhoons ordinarily pass by every year. what we can do is to be prepared. i think the government is now well-informed of the necessity to be prepared to prevent unnecessary losses of lives and damages of properties.
