We live in Guangzhou and my husband will have a business trip to Harbin in few weeks. We have never been so north place before. I heard that it is even -25 degrees there. We can't imagine how cold it is there, as we need to buy some heavy clothes, trousers, shoes etc. We looked up the information online and even looked at the local photos so that we could see how they wore. I gave my husband an idea that we should buy the coats online but shipped from Harbin so that it can be sure the coats will be warm enough. As the heavy coats we buy here are still different from there.

Hi friend, so you are living in a heavy cool place, it is really hard to imagine our life in a cool place without woolen clothes. As you mentioned you gave the idea to buy coats from online, it is really the best one. Hope you will get your desired clothes from a good online site

Yes you are right,that is a good choice,buy clothes online and ship to Harbin directly,then not only guarantee the warm quality but also save the trouble to bring so much luggage to the airport.
But I think that though Harbin is very cold but inside of the building is very warm because of the central heating.So actually you no need to worry about that just tell your husband to do less activity outside and keep more time inside,then may be your husband will feel more warm than Guangzhou.

Well you know I love the Winter and I love the cold weather, but I am not sure that I would like -25! The lowest is normally about -5 and that is rare. I think even I cannot walk around in a short sleeve shirt in that kind of cold! Go prepared and make sure you wrap up warm! I will stay in England I think where the cold is of my liking.

I am cold just thinking about such temperatures. I like cooler climates, but that is a bit chilly even for me. 
Since it is that brutally cold there, long underwear, heavy gloves and earmuffs are all essential items.
Hopefully, he won't need to spend very much time outside while he is there. Maybe, next time (if) he has to go to Harbin, he will be fortunate enough to go during the warmer months.

I have been to Jiamusi.although it was already early April,the river was still frozen.However all their rooms were comfortably warm.

I do not know what's the feeling of living in the cold places like of yours. I'm too curious. I still do not get the chance to stay and even visit there. Our country is a tropical country and we just feel coldness when the rain and typhoon comes.

yes, it is very cold in Harbin, the north city in China. water can turn into ice in seconds. so we can imagine how cold it is. wish your husband have a good business trip.
