No Indian in India

India

Few days ago I had responded to a discussion, today I am making this discussion to make it more elaborate. We have so many states here; people fight in the name of caste, religion and language; the person responsible behind is none else but the nasty political parties, they do this to earn votes. Now see this; Mumbai Two guys are fighting & a third guy comes along, sees them and walks on. That's Mumbai. Delhi Two guys are fighting & a third guy comes along and tries to make peace, the first two get together and beat him up. That's Delhi. Bangalore Two guys fighting and third guy comes nearby house and says; please don't fight in front of my place, go somewhere else. That's Bangalore. Uttar Pradesh Two guys are fighting, a crowd gathers to watch. A guy comes along and quietly opens a tea stall. That's Uttar Pradesh. Punjab Two guys are fighting. Both of them take time out & call their friends on their mobiles. Now 50 guys are fighting. That’s Punjab. Goa Two guys fighting third guy comes along with a carton of beer. All sit together drink beer and abuse each other and go home as friends. That’s Goa. Kolkata Two guys fighting and a third guy comes along then a fourth and they start arguing about who's right, and gradually a crowd gathers and joins the argument that goes on and on, while the original two guys have sorted out the differences and already left. That’s Kolkata. Orissa Two guys fighting, a third guy comes, asks them, to which political party each belongs; he supports the one that belong to the party; he belongs. That’s Orissa,MY STATE And last but not the least. Two guys fighting, a guy comes and shoots both of them. That’s a place under control of terrorists. But Indians living abroad rarely fight; they say they are ALL INDIAN. Please respond and share your views. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . 08/12/2012 Enjoy a Happy Sunday.

And here in my city, the scene is different.Take an example. Two guys are fighting. The door of a nearby house opens,an elderly dhoti clad man comes out and shouts at them. They stop fighting.Look at the elderly man, tell him what the bone of contention between them was.The elderly man tells them to go to their homes. The guys look at each other and leave. This is my city which also is in India.

Hello my friend Professor2010 Ji, Well, In response tour feelings, I would request you to go through and make critical study of all addresses made from the rampart of RED-FORT by all PMs startating from first. Foundation was laid where, PMs thought that they are addressing any other nation. They never used 'OUR NATION' they always addresses as 'INDIA; As if they come from other nation. So seeds have been sowed badly. I always think when few Bhjagat Singh would emerge and do what He did for our nation. May God bless You and have a great time

Hello my friend Professor2010 Ji, Well, our great leaders always thought that they are still to reply other Govts. and they never felt National feelings, as such such seeds were sowed from first day onward, now it has taken shape of big baniyain tree of hatred feelings. So I feel some more Bhagat Singh should emerge and correct them. May God bless You and have a great time

Bhabhiji I have clearly said; 'We have so many states here; people fight in the name of caste, religion and language; the person responsible behind is none else but the nasty political parties, they do this to earn votes.' You are right

Well, no matter where a person is from, country, etc you will find a lot of interesting different type of people from all walks of life. Personally I think it teapot depends on the way a person was raised as well as how they choose to present themselves. I know some people here in the US who are from India originally and most of them are really cool people and quite appreciative.

I like this one " Uttar Pradesh Two guys are fighting, a crowd gathers to watch. A guy comes along and quietly opens a tea stall. That's Uttar Pradesh. " That tea seller is a smart man Could it be the ones abroad just want to give a good impression of their country? Even if they are just one person, people tend to look at that one as a representative of their entire homeland.

It must be sad to see fighting within a nation. Perhaps it is due to the crowding. Sometimes, we are best when we don't live so close to each other. There is disputes in every country in the inner cities. I think human beings respect each other better when we don't live in crowded cities. But, I think if you look for the good in India, you will find it. There is good within every country. And there are good people in every country and in India.

namaskar sir I dont know about the fights thing but yes, there is hardly any Indian in India. As SRK said in one of his hits - we have Mumbaian, Punjabi, Gujrati, Odiya and wo many others... but none saying I am Indian... and that said, yes, a few of my schoolmates who have settled outside India are proud to say I am Indian and here, unfortunately, we dont know who an Indian is. Not only the calling of Indian, the Indians who stay out also celebrate all festivals together irrespective of whether they are Hindus or Gujratis or Punjabis... They celebrate all Indian Festivals together... Sometimes I wish I was one of those who have settled outside, at least I would be more at peace and many would be more at peace with me

Yes, I agree with you. We are not behaving as an Indian in india. We have so much of problems between us which won't allow us to be an Indian. But when u went to abroad the only thing which is untied people is that they are Indians.

Lol...fights are very funny but I disagree with you on no Indian in India. In India, everyone is an Indian. They do not have to say it because it is visible. It is like the only people in Britain who say they are British are those who otherwise on visual inspection look like they are not.A vast majority otherwise self-identifies as Scottish,Irish,English,Cornish,Welsh,Geordie,Liverpudlian,Londoner,Cockney, working class etc.You know why? Because we are individuals and do not want to be part of a homogeneous mass.Everywhere in life our success depends on how we stand out, while also fitting in the broadest sense of the word.

hi, Though its said in a funny way ,its right upto some extent i feel. And yes we living in India doesn't care about our fellow country men but those who are living abroad are not like that they don't differentiate people on the base of states they belong. They only see them as "INDIANS". I think its time we too should learn this.

Prof, our country is already divided in to various states and regions, so there is no wonder in this kind of replies. We must be really surprise if some person tell " I am an Indian" in our country, since most of our country people are interested with their own state and mother tongue, they are not interested in allowing the neighborhood state person to enter in their activities. Politicians are also in this sort. Our neighborhood state Karnataka is not interested in offering water to our state TN, since there is no unity in our country

This made me smile, although I haven't been to India. I can find this kind of behavior in different places. The most common one in my city is that two guys are fighting. A third guy comes along, sees them, and walks on. People don't like to get into each other's business and are afraid of the violence escalating quickly.
