The deed of donating your blood is indeed very good. Its the best thing a person can do for mankind. If you are thinking of donating your blood on a regular basis, then you got to prepare urself mentally and physically. Drink plenty of juices, and have a proper diet. Avoiding smoking and drinking is the best thing. I donated blood, and it felt good. I felt dizzy after that, but some coldrink made me fine... I was happy that i saved someones life.... I think everyone should donate blood... It costs you nothing.... But it is of utmost value to the person who needs it.. Have you donated blood? Share your xperience...

My boyfriend is a regular blood donor. He donates blood I think twice a year. He always encourages me to donate blood because according to him it will be good in the regulation of blood in our body. Once we donate blood, our old blood will be replace by a new blood. I adore him for that activity. He never hesitates to give his blood and said there is an un explainable feeling when he donates blood to the patient. I did attempt also once but the medical attendant told me that my weight is not appropriate or not allowed me to donate blood. So I should more gain weight.

Everybody should donate blood? For what reason? To spread the hiv virus or hep virus or other diseases even more? Personally I am not interested in any blood transfusions and with me there are other people who think exactly the same about it. It cost you nothing? In my country it does, this besides of the fact they will not accept everybodies blood at all. They are not in that need. Just for A/B and the - factor perhaps 0. You also say that you need a proper diet plus drinking plenty of juices. Any idea what that cost in my country??? So it does cost you (although I do not believe that drinking plenty of juices will give you better blood at all.. garlic will and so are nettles they clean the blood). I will never donate blood since I have to use medication and I do not believe I will be of any help (or be accepted) this besides of the fact I have A+ the most common bloodtype there is. Also I have big doubts about the hygiene (needles etc) used. Many people are also infected by dirty needles, doctors, nurses, dentist, etc.

Our donated will do some good for the people who n - Our donated will do some good for the people who needs to do blood transfusion.
I am a regular blood donor. I do it every three months. Yes, it does feel good knowing that the blood that we donated will do some good for the people who needs to do blood transfusion. Most hospitals are having a blood bank to keep the blood and make efforts to make sure its storage is adequate for the needs. It is very easy to donate your blood. Any healthy persons would very likely qualify to donate.

hi, you are right. Donating blood is really a good deed. I donate blood not on regular basis. But I have donated for 4 times. One incident is very touching for me. My elder sister's husband had bye pass surgery 5 years before. He needed blood. My blood matched with his blood. and I donated blood for him and helped to save his life.

I did, and it was really wonderful. Although my blood is not special, It is just O+. but i was scared at first... they couldn't find my veins. Oh my goodness, my veins were afraid too, hiding in my fats. LOL It was great and I am still okay donating my precious blood.

My friend, your blood IS special. Your blood type of O+ means that your blood will suit almost all the people who need blood transfusions. Please be a regular donor. Many people in emergency wards and people who suffer from blood related illness will need our blood to stay alive.

They won't take my blood or plasma because of my health. Have you ever donated plasma? They will actually pay YOU for plasma.

I used to donate regularly. Since I have a blood type that is not the most common, I was welcomed with open arms. Then, it was discovered that I have MS. That put an end to my donations. The disease itself would not be transferred by my blood, it's the drugs I have to take to combat the disease. I used to get letters from the blood bank begging me to come in and donate. I would nearly cry because I can no longer accommodate them. After the 3rd call, advising them of my situation, I was finally taken off their mailing list.

I love to donate blood. The most interesting fact about donating your blood is sometimes it saves more than just one life. I look at it this way, what if one day I needed someones blood. It would be available and I feel the only way to give back is if i did the same for people who helped me. I am pregnant so I cant donate yet until I have the baby. But I try as much as I can because it is very important to people who actually need it. Some people need blood transfusions every month and our body keeps making more of it so why not????

Yes, it make me feel good after donated my blood knowing the fact that it can be used to save someone in an emergency situation; but it also make me feel dizzy and weak physically after the blood transfusion especially i am such a skinny dude that barely has enough blood to support my own body and need. I am just glad i remain alive after donated my blood several times in the past occasions. It is one of a many way for one to build up own karma in life.

I have not donated blood before. However, I do plan to do so one day. I have no problem with needles or any of that because I semi-reguarly get blood work done. I just need to find out when the next clinic is coming around to my town and I need to go at a good time (such as when it isnt snowing too badly or whatever) :)

I haven't tried to donate my blood but I do think this is a good thing to do coz first you did something that is meaningful and second of all you made your blood fresh. I believe that just do something according to your heart and make your life wonderful. It's nice hearing you said that and hope you enjoy what you've done. Enjoy your life.

I have not donated blood, for I am anemic. Thank you for donating your blood to save someone.... Some time ago my son fell ill and needed a lot of blood.... his life was saved. I was (still am) so grateful for the people who donate blood.
