How to send sms for FB request!

Hi,
I really don't know whether we can send sms for face book request.
From few days i am getting number of SMS request that is Face book request from unknown people to connect with them, interesting thing my mobile number is not registered in my face book account, I have android phone, but as i don't visit Face Book often, i have not yet installed application and no inbuilt application.
So my query is how it is possible to receive FB request, if number details are not added in face book account???
How safe is to click such links??

Hi! Um, your post has really confused me.Are you sure, you have not put your phone details in your Facebook profile? If no, then ignore these SMS. If no, have you tried opening your Facebook account and cross checking if these sms you get are valid or not? Because, some time before, maybe weeks ago, i don't quite remember, i too used to get messages like my friend has tagged me, new friend requests,etc.asking me to visit those links which often seem weird.I used to cross check it it what it said was true..sometimes they were sometimes not.
So my suggestion is, please verify it whether they are what they claim to be..stay safe and take care.

yes, more so links are shortened, so its difficult to verify the link
Do you know any website which help us to verify shortened links
