I recently stumbled into this website http://www.gofundme.com/ that is about creating a donation page in order to raise funds. Did anyone tried this already and manage to raised funds?
I did create one though. I am really curious if this site really works, given that there would be people who will really donate!

honestly do not know how many people will donate although wealthy might pay.
would be nice if nyakio have this opportunity because I personally do not have extra money, they are not enough for me, but let alone to make a donation though if I had money I donated.

yes of course how can we donate when we don't have enough money for us. But is it so easy to get the money? I don't think so.

I never visited the site, but after a little bit of exploration, I realized it is almost like kickstarter. The only difference is that kickstarter needs a defined goal and usually the companies donate money there. GoFundMe looks far easier. But I don't think it should be used for getting free money just like that. It would be great to use it only when the need is greatest.

Just recently visited my site in gofundme but no donations yet. hahaha
I think I was just expecting too much because I find certain pages there asking for help for a dog, some are for parties and such and indeed they have gathered certain amount of money.

it sounds starnge and even the site or system not really trusted in my opinion...so may be it hides some strange risks!!

No i never come across this site. But this sounds interesting. You said you created an account , for funds? how will this work .I mean simply no one donate for us just like that. If its the case then anyone can get an account and get the funds as well. Quiet difficult .

As I understand it. The site will redirect you to the paypal account and you can make your donations via paypal.
