From Barn Cat to House Cat

So my boyfriend went to his friends' house, who has a small farm, and saw a little kitten that apparently was dropped off and abandoned. This little kitten made friends with the horses and dogs, and would hang out with them. My boyfriend felt bad for the kitten and loved the way it looked. It has really cool markings on it, kind of like a leopard. So what did we do? Decided to take her in. We got her right before Thanksgiving and named her Punkin. We were curious how the other two cats and our dog would react. They get along very well, though. It took about 2 weeks, but they took her in like their baby. I can't understand how someone could just drop off a cat and leave it for dead. This kitten is so loveable and friendly that it's a shame to think of what could have happened to her if she were dropped off in the wrong hands!

Awwwww, what a sweet story. Brings tears to my eyes. I don't understand either how someone can abandon an animal. One of our kids recently adopted a rescue dog that had been hit by a car. The people who owned the dog just moved and left the dog behind knowing it had been hit. Someone found it running around and took the dog to an agency that works closely with adoptions. Turned out to be a great story and a good pet. She's just a few months old and learning to live in a busy house.
