Ok, I'll admit it, I'm a hater

I'm a hater of housework, doing dishes, paper work, budgeting, filing, yard work, getting gas in my car, picking up dog dew and just about anything requiring my "Bewitched" ability to twitch my nose and get all done without lifting a finger. Ok, so I'm a dreamer too. So I figured out this system my husband hates: throw the paperwork in a big three ring binder and do my filing and budgeting once a month. To me this is much more effective and doesn't waste my time every day. My(mister speed of light)husband files almost everything immediately. This is a great trait if he'd only hang on to receipts and keep instruction manuals for any new equipment and gadget instead of loosing them. I really want to tell him his filing system sucks! When I try to open the file drawer it takes two hands and there are papers practically stuck to it because it's filed so tight. I know better than to mention this because I would be offered the job of doing it myself. This is the kind of situation that could destroy a marriage. So I just insist I take care of the taxes. I'm sure he's glad about that. So why did I start my own business? When I make enough money to justify another employee it will be a secretary. "Do the filing first honey" will be the first thing out of my mouth. I throw my business receipts in a large three ring binder after opening it and forget it, til my filing day. To me this not only makes sense but also is time effective! Some may think its laziness. I say I still need someone to clean my house! Take that mister speed of light!

That's why I keep what I hate down to shortcuts. I've got a shortcut for just about everything and looking for more!

I'm more of a procrastinator than a hater. I put off doing things like dishes and cleaning the bathroom until it embarrasses me. When I get started cleaning, it's never as bad as I thought it was going to be and I promise myself that I won't let it go again. I do pretty good for a few days, then something comes up that's more interesting and there it goes again. The funny thing is that it doesn't take much more time to clean the bathroom after letting it go for days than it does to clean it every day, so maybe you're right. It's more efficient and a better use of my time to put it off!

I hate cooking and housework as well. With all the medical problems I have it is hard for me to do some of these as well so it has had to be my husband doing a lot of this. I have always wished I was like Samantha from bewitched so all I had to do is crinkle my nose.

lol...you sound a lot like me. I've needed to do laundry for a month now. I'm lucky I have a lot of clothes. I HATE doing housework and if I can put it off til tomorrow (which never comes) I will. I sound like a slob but I put off the dishes for days...I have a lot of them too. I live alone and seldom get any company but that's when I do do the dishes....and hide my laundry

That is too funny! I wait till my dishes are up to the top of the sink. And my laundry has a place no one will see but me, ever! I like a light, bright house except my bedroom so I can see dirt from a distance. I bought to of those rubber backed rugs that attract and keep dirt on them and then there is the mat in front of my stove that does the same thing. It keeps my living room and kitchen looking clean for a long time. My mop is a Swiffer so I don't have to get down on my hands and knees. Remember those battery charged hand vacs? I bought a Shark that does the same thing but the most I have to bend down for is to plug the darn thing in because of the long handle! Lots of shortcuts so I can sleep more and have more fun! I raised my kids, it is ME time now!

Housework may not be the most fun thing in the world. Sometimes it's downright madness, especially when there a ;pt of boys in the family. Sometimes there's way too many dishes and it can be tiring. It has to be done but afterwards one may want to nap. It all depends on how much housework needs our attention.
