Why do you believe?

Yes, this is what most of the people say when I tell them that I believe that Aliens exist and there are n number of facts available on this earth. I find it ridiculous when people don't know (or may be don't want to know) the facts but they do conclude that existence of Aliens is not possible. What about you? To which category do you belong: 1. I want to know the facts to decide. 2. I don't care. 3. I just know that they don't exist.

For an ordinary man like most of us, we have to stick with this statement: "To see is to believe." Evidences, pieces of proof are we need for us to be convinced. But when we regard it in the spiritual point of view, this statement holds true: "To believe is to see." This is the manifestation of a true faith, unwavering faith in God who is the creator of all things. I don't belong to the category that you mention when God's dealings are concerned. But when aliens, they do exist. They're called aliens for they've not been properly identified. They're strangers. So we often hear UFO for unidentified flying objects.

It is true that people are also terrified of knowing these things that people either know little of or almost none. Most people would rather deal with ordinary life without having to worry about this other stuff that is around them. Most people choose not to believe in things such as this. Thus a conspiracy theory is born. People don't want to know even if it has to do with their very existence for the simple fact that they either cannot control it or don't want to pile these things on top of their everyday worries. It is also true that many people need to experience things in order to listen or believe. It is like a child needed to burn themselves in order to learn that something is hot.

For the first a person is exposed to that unusualness. Of course, he will be terrified. Curiosity is indispensable to everyone. Too much of it is dangerous. There is a saying that states: "Curiosity kills a cat." If you are a scientist everything should be experimented in a scientific way.

Hi dodoazo and mailer, I agree with you, what both of you have said is true. As you can see here, we are general people but in this 21st century we do believe in Aliens, some of us have gone through the facts, few of us just understand probability and they say yes it's possible and majority of us don't have time to bother about one of the most important thing in our life. As a civilization we are growing and it will take a few decades for us to accept the fact that yes, they do exist in this universe and we need to understand and deal with it on priority because it affects our existence. Thanks for your reponse!

just because no one has ever seen an alien or bigfoot for that matter doesn't mean they don't exist. there are so many different life forms being discovered now a days who's to say aliens and bigfoot don't exixt. there are a lot of people that don't believe that God exist because they have never seen him, doesn't mean he doesn't exist. I've never been to Paris, nor seen it or many other places, just because I haven't seen or been there doesn't mean they don't exist. There are a lot of things out there that we cannot see, however they exist. We see evidence of them all the time all around us. Germs, we can't see them but they exist, we see the effects from them. So I don't fall within any of the catagories you listed, because I believe they do exist. Don't ya think it would be an awful waste of space and terribly arrogant of us to think that ours is the only planet with life on it.

Hi Violann, Correct me if I'm wrong, you meant to say that if our senses have limitation that doesn't mean that the truth can't be much different than what we can understand on the basis of our senses. Actually, I think I should have added a fourth category of people who strongly believe that existence of Alien is 100% possible in our universe. Now that we agree on the fact that Aliens exist, let me share a URL with you where one of the best scientist of our time has explained his point of view on this topic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iKS9qXSZT4 Thanks for your response, violann!

Well...in considering the possibility of aliens I have to say that I think it could be selfish to think in a universe as vast as we live in that there is nothing but us.

Hi JenInTN, Yes, you are right, even if we don't consider the proofs and facts, simply considering probability suggests that we are not alone in this universe. Thanks for your response!

yes, I am in the first category. If I couldn't find any reason to believe then surely I won't believe in anything. For I to believe I should see it through my eyes, whatever it may be like aliens, evil or even God himself. Since my religion and parents are forcing me to believe in God, infront of them I will act like believing because I have to. But honestly I believe in God due to some other reason which I can't reveal it here, sorry.

Hi sajujohn, Even I believe in God and I've no hesitation in saying that I just love god. It's not because it's in my religion but it's because of my personal experience in this life. I consider myself as a logical person but love doesn't understand any logic so it's matter of heart. As far as proof is concerned, I can't provide you everything here but a few videos I would like to share with you, if possible please check these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcrzD0PfyPs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW0ApDr032I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iKS9qXSZT4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6QNzH4x1rY

Hi ifa225, 100% of the violence cases in this world are happening because of a difference in thinking. In last 100 years, we've seen people like Hitler and Laden. People like these could succeed only because they had a group of people (same religion, same country etc.) behind them who agreed to their point of view and this was possible only because of the existence of religion. When we differentiate among ourselves, it causes loss to our civilization in someway or another. Suppose if someone tells you that way back in ancient age when we were living in caves, people from outer space came to this planet and genetically modified us and taught us how to live and because we could not comprehend their technology we treated them as gods and that's how we created religions as per our understanding and then country, state, caste etc. It's not aliens who disturb us, it's the old mentality that we have here on this planet which is causing all type of problems for us. The day we'll realize this truth, we'll love each other more and instead of fighting among ourselves we'll give up our mentality of differentiate among ourselves. This is how I think, I don't know if I'm right or wrong but for an instance suppose if I'm right, don't you think this topic needs more attention than just ignoring? Thanks for your response ifa225.

Some people do not wish to know facts and choose to live blindly. It is the same thing with politics.

I agree, it's not easy for everyone to know everything but if someone has got a chance to have some information on a topic that's important for his/her existence, one should not ignore it. Thanks for your response, mailer!

That is an iffy question. I think if they do exist the only ones that know are our governments. As for me personally, I would like to believe they do exist. But there are many scenarios as to what they might really be. First off, it is quite funny that there are only things flying in the air. And no one has ever come in contact with them. Much like Bigfoot. Many people say they seen something that must be Bigfoot but no one has ever had an encounter with one. So it is all up in the air. If they really do exist then someone would have had actual contact with them. I often thought that it could be our future coming back to this time frame to monitor things.

Hi inertia4, It's quite possible that people from future are coming back and visiting us. Just like most of us, even I've never encounter any alien species or who knows I would have encountered but someone might have done that trick that Will Smith does in Men in Black. But I believe in this after watching documentaries like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ApMbhBe2a8 Thanks for your response, intertia4.

I think most people would like for aliens to be real just as ghosts. But given the technology we have and the technology we are not privy to yet, who knows for sure. Time travel might be possible but we, the regular people do not know about it yet. Maybe some time on the future. I think this is a field of interest for many and there are many theories. But if they do exist. then the only ones who know for sure are the government.

Yes, you're right. Government is certainly aware of all the secret powerful possible things but they don't disclose it to us so that there can be peace in the society.

i do believe that aliens exist. there has been a lot of proofs, governments just hide them. if us humans exist, there should not be any reasons for aliens not to exist.

I want to be able to see facts to decide what to believe. There are times i am indeed careless and i do not care which one is the truth, nor do i care to know what the truth is. :D hehe

Hi chiyosan, Even if we are curious about the truth there are situations in our life where we need to priorities things and that's when you could be ignorant about the truth. Thanks for your response, chiyosan.

I believe the only reason why we haven't seen aliens is that they consider Earth still too primitive, they have monitored us and to them we are a warmongering nation with no goals of real peace. We are not alone, we'd be foolish to think we were, the timing is just not right.

Hi wolfie34, Yes, you are right. There are so many intelligent civilizations out there, I've mentioned a few links in this discussion, if possible, check those links, that'll show how there is a small group of people aware of this fact, however, in general, people like us just ignore this possibility. Thanks for your response!
