Who wants to throw me a party?

School officially ends on Monday, but I've already finished all of my assignments and only have to participate in class discussions over the weekend, then that's it. I'm done with school! They will mail me my degree, and over the summer I have the option of attending a graduation ceremony (they only hold one a year, so I have to wait).
So, I want a graduation party! My house still needs some work. We're trying to fix it up a bit so that I can have a party here next month, because I can't afford to rent a place for a party, but I'm not sure we'll have it done in time or have the money to afford to throw a party, even though it's really important to me that I have one.
I wish I could invite you all to my party too.. I do have some really close friends here on Mylot.. you know who you are. I wish you could all make it up here to have a graduation party with me.
Instead I guess we'll have to settle for an online Mylot party! Let's celebrate!!

That is such good news!
I've never attended on online party. I guess the biggest hindrance would be the different time zones of all your myLot friends. I'm not sure what our time difference is, but drinking a glass of champagne to you first thing in the morning might be a bit strange :)

This actually made me think of my graduation, if I ever get to graduate that is. I wonder if I'll be feeling like partying or just let it pass. After the unbelievable number of years in college, if I ever succeed to get that degree, I think by that time celebrating my graduation will be in the least of my priorities. Anyway, don't want to ruin your mood here. Once again, Congratulations!

That's why you need a party once you graduate.. it's a big achievement! Finally done studying and working hard. That's why I want one so bad!

That would be awesome! I haven't been to a online party before nor would know how to go about having one but it sounds awesome. You could have skype with a few and they could be there with that. Just have fun, and if you get graduation money.. spend on what you love because you worked hard for it.

Yeah..gonna need to be a big cake.. and I want it decorated like a graduation cake with caps and all that stuff, and a big ole "Congraduation!" written on it!

Aw thanks! I did have moments of wanting to quit.. but am so proud that I've stuck with it and now have my degree!

Congratulations on finishing school, katsmeow! Is it college? If so what degree? I'll be finishing up college the end of April and will graduate then. I will be so glad, too. Then I can move on to what I want to do.

Congradulations. I hope u get that party, u deserve. doesn't matter about youe house not being finished, get it full of people & noone will notice & what if they do.Would love to come to your party. Never have attended an online party but think it would be fun. Have a great time!

I am also in the same boat as you, I am graduating after this semester and my last class is next week on thursday. I am receiving my associate's degree in sciences and I'm not really sure when I'll be getting my actual degree. It feels really good to be done with community college and to know that my next step I will be in a college working towards a degree that will actually get me a job in the field that I am studying in.
I too hope to have some kind of party or celebration once I get my degree but I'll be happy with just simply going out to dinner with my girlfriend or something like that. Maybe I'll go to the bar with one of my friends who I believe is also graduating this summer. Regardless of what I do I feel like celebrating. I worked my way through college so a lot of it was a little tough coordinating work with college but I am so glad to be done with it and not have any debt for transferring to a new college.

I have actually attended an online party through a support group I am a member of! We all hung out in a chat room and the moderator started all sorts of crazy questions and we spent the evening running back and forth between discussions answering each other.. it was great fun! lol!

I have no idea of what an online party is like but a party through video conferencing might sound better to me.
