I joined facebook last 2009. 3 years ago, but I dont open so much like this in mylot. Ofcourse, this is a site which you will write and share a lot and get paid. But I can just share stuffs here which are not so personal, if i like. in facebook, I can't since most of my relatives and families can see what I'm goin to say. Its kinda embarassed. here, im free and get paid :p

I've never tried facebook and have no desire to do so. It seems like too many people get into trouble for things they've posted there. You also reveals too much of your personal life. I prefer keeping my personal life personal. I do make comments about family and friends here on mylot, but not so much as to give anyone any real information.

I believe this is true for most people. Here on mylot people actually ask you your opinion. You might be able to write about your thoughts and ideas for than what you would on facebook. This site is built on discussions and facebook is more of a sharing forum. I don't mind if my family or friends see what I write about my thoughts or feelings, all they have to do is ask and they would know. I wouldn't be telling them anything different than what I am telling you.

I am pretty open on facebook, but i do feel more comfortable totally opening up here on mylot. I love facebook and how i can chat right away and get feedback from friends and family. I don't know what it is, but mylot for me is just my first online home

I dont open much my Facebook account because it is a boring site for me. I only created such because I want to see my classmates in High School and College. I still prefer to stay here rather than Facebook because I see a lot of interesting topics here.

True because in facebook you have a series of people writing their posts agian and again and see them in a single page but that is not the case with my lot you see different posts at different places which facilitates you to see a postat a time and then respond to it without wasting time.

I completely agree with liezel25. I use facebook to be in touch with the persons I like. All social networks are so good so far. I like being connect, but a bit more simply, I just want to stay connected with friends.. may be not actively connected with all time.

Oh I am the same too. I rarely post anything personal on facebook. I do like to share and do feel comfortable even more in here than in facebook because at least in mylot, this really is the place where we all would be so happy to share because of the various topics and discussions. i like this place because the participation would enable you to earn money and it sure would even help you release those burdens you keep inside you... you sure are in the right place here sharing things you can't share with others, not even with your friends in facebook. Soetimes it is really hard to be saying anythingon facebook.. people will have their opinions and you know them, they will have said anything and could have bent the truth of what you really meant in the first place. =)

Same her liezel. I can express my thoughts and opinions here freely without worrying how my friends would think. I only use facebook to know what's happening to my friends and distant relatives but don't share much personal matters as I don't feel comfortable doing it there but not here at mylot where i could feel no qualms in pouring out my thoughts and beliefs.

liezel25 I have very few on my facebook and I won't add more..lol it drives me nuts as everyday they keep asking me to friend others..I am not confident with facebook...my kids tell me I am being silly and maybe it's a generational thing, but I don't really think facebook is a terrific idea...Personally I think it's too open for anyone inspite of the fact they say you can limit your viewers...

Its nice to see how much you get involved in mylot. May be thats the beauty of this site that you feel more comfortable here rather than on facebook.

I think the main reason is that we are getting paid here for what we write. Yes you are right that on facebook what ever we write can be easily seen by our family members but if our relatives join mylot they might see our comments here as well. I think i am comfortable at both but now since i have joined mylot i have reduced access to facebook . Obviously money is the reason.

I don't post anything personal on Facebook, the only reason I have Facebook is to play the zynga games which I enjoy, I like Mylot in that if I need advice or support I can come here, it's kinda like therapy. I can be open and honest, sometimes it's good to talk to relative strangers, you get a different perspective and you can also make good friends here, which I have done over the years.
