As soon as I woke up this morning, I got busy with laundry. And boy did I have a lot of clothes to wash. Since I was at it, I decided to do the linens as well. While the washing machine is working on it, I decided to fix the kids' room as well as other clothes in the closet. It was almost lunch time when I was done with my laundry. I had lunch then took a bath. I was so in a hurry to be at Mylot. Then all of a sudden I felt my back hurt. My neck is sort of stiff. And if it wasn't just my lucky day, got PMS as well! Instead of having a restful afternoon, what I am feeling is pain all over my body! help!

That is a sure sign of over exertion. You will get over it once you take rest. But looking at all the work done you must be feeling great. I feel that way when I launch on a project 'clean up'!

That's true, allknowing! We need to tire ourselves sometime to be able to be make ourselves happy later on. And I am glad I really did all those things yesterday. But I still need to do a lot more before Christmas.

I just baked my date and walnut cake - looks yummy but my back does not! Anyway what is Christmas if one does not get fagged out at the end of it all! That is a clear indication that one has enjoyed the season!

Jenny i will not tell you not to do house work, its one of the duties to perform and you are doing it sincerely i see, but this doesn't mean that you should work so hard to get spoiled your health. Fix the time of every work and if it requires more that your calculations then better take a little pause in between then there will not be any stress and you will enjoy the work after some rest. Have a nice time and a happy new year to you.

That was so sweet of you, Roshigo! Thanks so much! What you have said is something that everyone should take note of. Coz some people really has the tendency to be doing everything in one sitting to compensate for the ways that nothing was ever done. I will try to follow what you have said. And I am hoping that this coming new year, I would adopt a system that would make me work in a way that will not ruin my health conditions. Wishing you a Happy New year, too!

Maybe you did too much? Sometimes we don't realize how much we are doing, until the following morning when we wake up aching! I am surprised the bath didn't help, usually it will relax you and your muscles. I use Radox they do some nice brands. Maybe tomorrow take it easy and relax. Can you not get your partner to give you a massage?

Hello, Wolfie! Actually mu husband did give me a massage last night . And it did help me a lot to fall asleep. I am feeling better now , but I have taken a medicine just the same just to be sure that I won't be experiencing any more pain with that intensity later. Thanks for dropping by!

Hi jenny! I find that a nice hot bath soothes me when I feel like that. Now..as far as the PMS..that is just a stay out of my way thing. My grandmother once told me to go to the health food shop and get progesterone cream and rub on my tummy when I was experiencing PMS. She said I would be amazed at how it worked. I haven't even yet but I think about it sometimes and one day might just try it.

I guess it is one of those things you only see in a specialty health shop. It might be a little expensive but she told me a pea size would do wonders. I might have to try it myself. PMS just gets worse over time you know.

I have discovered that I cannot overexercise my body on one day if I`m not acostumed to that. After I had discovered that, I found out that there were reasons, scientific ones, for it. When we do that, there are small cuts in the muscles. They may be tiny, but they hurt. Relax now and don`t do that again if you can avoid it.

hello, Mama Marguicha! Thanks again for having time to take part in my discussion. Yeah, I know that I have overworked yesterday. And yes, I am not used to exerting that much effort in a day. But I was jut feeling the need to do it coz kids are now on vacation and I can now focus on cleaning the house than be worrying about their uniforms, school works and food that they need to bring to school.

Yes, take it easy, I know there is something going around here, mny have sore necks and backs. It could be fro over exerting yourself, and also your periods. I know I use to get real bad back pains when I had my periods. I would have a bath, and have a heat pad, which seem to help a lot.

Back aches! I used to have just stomach cramps, but when I got older, it was already my back who gets hurt. When I woke up this morning, although the back ache seem to be gone, it was replaced with a headache. So, my last resort was taking a medicine. I do not want to deal with the pain for another day.

sometimes, stretching and rolling your muscles (from neck to ankles) before tackling housework helps. then rest while boiling a pot of water to add to the bath water. you can store the excess in an airpot (for coffee, to add to whatever you're cooking, etc). you can take pain meds (paracetamol, ibuprofen, etc). you can put a hot compress on the sore areas.

What I did was had a good warm bath, and let hubby give me a massage. That helped me fall asleep last night. I rarely take any medicine when I am in pain. I try to tolerate it as much as I can.

hi jenny Maybe the work you've done this morning was too much for your body to handle, just take a rest. When I have PMS I just sleep, I feel better when I wake up

Hello, Lovegreen! I was feeling fine when I started in the morning. The PMS came in the afternoon after I was done with my work. Sadly, I could not sleep easily during the day, not even if I have a splitting headache. I just had to deal with it the whole day.

I used to have a helper. But realized that they could not do exactly what want them to do. I am not the kind of employer who would be shouting at helpers who doesn't do the job right. Instead of shouting at them, I'd just do it all by myself. So, why do I have to pay for somebody who could not do the work right? So, I opted to just do everything by myself. At least, I was able to save a bit!
