My Own Engagement Ring

As I hope to overcome all misunderstandings and recent quarrels with my beloved, I still have the highest intention in my relationship. I would like to get married, and, as an engagement ring, I would like to give her my own work. Yes, I will make an engagement ring for my beloved by myself. It really doesn't take as much. Numerous masters of the goldsmith craft give out tutorials for the jewelry-making. They might give some tutorials for free, and charge for other more complicated ones. Of course, a ring is one the more complicated things to make for a goldsmith. Not only it involves tremendous effort and skill but also a considerable time for research in geology, as it is extremely important to discover how to assess proper stones and what would be the reliable resources. I guarantee you - at the end, any girl would appreciate a self-made ring (even if it may be of a slightly lower quality) much better than a simple good that you buy from a store.

I think that is such a sweet thing to do for your girl friend. Maybe you would like to give it a little more drama. Invite her for a movie. Then ask the movie house if they could sneak in a film or at least part of the video showing while you were doing the ring. Then let the light turn on and then propose to her. What do you think?

Movie theatre thing already happened before. I have a different, unique scenario.

Really? I am sorry, I wasn't aware about that. Anyway, I am sure your idea would be great. Good Luck!

Best of luck to you both! I have never heard of someone making their own engagement ring, but it is very sweet. Have you made any kind of jewelry before? It seems like a big project to take on, but I am sure that your beloved will appreciate it! Maybe it will become a family heirloom! :)

A friend of mine gave me a special jewelry-making kit. He gave me some tips as well. However, a ring would be beyond the scope of his abilities. I'd have to do a lot of research before completing this task. It's quite difficult and exciting. I also consider taking lessons form some goldsmiths. Or even becoming and apprentice.

Well l appreciate your effort for your beloved, but l think instead of using time in making a ring for herself, you should spend more time in understanding her and her likes and dislikes.
