The X'mas party with family consisted of eating, eating, and lots of eating followed by gift-giving, then singing to our hearts' content. How did your X'mas party go? I received a tray, some glasses, tumblers, and money. Yay! What did you get this X'mas?

I attended one Christmas party where we exchanged silly gifts - it had to be something that you don't want anymore. An ugly tee shirt, an old vase, mismatched socks, an ratty Halloween decoration, anything silly and goofy. We had a blast watching each other open these silly gifts. That was the whole point - just to have fun. I think when it comes to grown ups exchanging gifts, we might as well save our money and buy ourselves what we really need and want. I buy small things and often homemade items for the grown ups in my family and with my friends. Something that they can't buy in the store and is personal just for them. I think those are the most meaningful gifts at Christmas.

I would love that kind of exchanging gifts. One can be creative and funny there.

Ohh why do they give such odd gifts. some may not really feel good about this. when we are giving we should give some thing worth full . so that people have their smile on their face not that

I haven't had my Christmas party yet, at least not the ones with my family - that is tonight at around 6 or 7pm. I did have a work party, though, where I won a raffle for a flat screen TV. That was pretty sweet, although to be honest I barely ever watch TV. Oh well, huh? My family NEVER gets me money, I'm so jealous of you! I'm looking forward to spending some much-needed time with my family this evening though, and also looking forward to grubbin' out like we do every Christmas! Merry Christmas!

Yep, somebody was in the spirit of handing out small red packets with cash in it, so.

hi cutie18f. the family christmas party served as a reunion as well. relatives from both sides of the family, my mother and father side, celebrated christmas at our house. there was a lot of eating, drinking, and merry-making. we had multiple tables of card games on-going, poker and black jack. plus two tables of a family favorite, majhong, was played. there was also a movie marathon at the family room and at one of the bedrooms, kids and teenagers were either playing video games or board games. as for the gifts that i received this past christmas, i got a body shop set, a united colors of benetton cold perfume, a polo shirt, gift certificates, and the gift that i liked most, a katana inspired umbrella. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

I had a nice christmas party with my parents and my husband. We had the traditional christmas dinner which consisted of duck, potatoes and red cabbage. For we dessert we had risalamande. It is not only a dish it is also a game and the person who finds the whole almond receives a small present. When we finished eating we sang some christmas songs and then we opened the presents. I received a homemade gift card from my husband, but he still hasn't revealed the name of the shop so that will be a surprice I also received cash, pillows, a bracelet and a couple of other things.

Parties always go in this way, we have a big dinner, then exchange gifts, then sing and dance, but everyone enjoys the process, they can have great happiness during this activity. Merry Christmas, by the way, i got a tea-pot as a present.
