Hurricane Sandy Hero Dies

Well, I just read some very sad news online. A young man who rescued several people during Hurricane Sandy has died while on holiday in Puerto Rico. He was 23 years old. He received a lot of media attention, praise and awards for his heroic efforts during Hurricane Sandy. I remember seeing him interviewed on TV. I think that I remember him talking about going to Puerto Rico for a vacation soon. Sadly, he drowned while visiting. His body has just been recovered. We never know what the next minutes will bring, do we.

Sometimes I think that the best people die young. It seems that the do in a few years what other people do in a long life. And so, they reach the goal before the rest of the world

I saw this on cnn here in Mexico. Very sad, he was a true american. He saved many lifes and didnt want to be called a hero. Today we all call him a hero. God bless him there....

I have not yet heard anything on our news but we had limitted news today because of the Xmas holiday. I was at a holiday event and did not hear the evening news. 23 years old ..... I feel for his family and friends.
