My neighbours always put their alcohol bottles in their recyling I go pick them out, as you can get more money. I always bring my back when I get a load of them. During the spring and summer I usually walk down the sideroads, and pick beer bottle out of the ditches, wash them, and bring them back to get money for them. A few summers ago I made $800.00.

We recycle aluminum cans. I don't think that where we live they pay anything for glass, but will have to check into it. We recycle a lot of things if not for money, just to save money from having to buy things.

thats good, here I pick up all the aluminum cans I find here. As we get paid over 1.00 per pound here. We can get paid for bottles here as well. But so hard to carry them around for me. Im glad you get paid well for yours. Ill start saving them, and give them to someone to sell here.

Yes, I take my empties back. And I pick up any I come across when I'm out walking (I always take a plastic shopping bag with me). A few summers ago, I did it full time, covering quite a lot of neighborhoods, and made a lot of money, too. Enough to buy a new PC among other things.

I have brought back aluminum cans for money before, but I have never done glass. I don't even know if the place I take the cans to even pays for glass. $800 is a lot of money for old glass bottles! I would be getting those bottles out of the neighbors recycling bin as well.

I do the same here. I keep the bottles and plastics and even the old newspapers. When I walk by the street and see plastic bottles, I pick them up and bring them home. And when there are a lot already, I bring them to the junk shop. It's where they are bought. I think it's more than just the money you'll get from it but it's also a way to help keep the environment clean.
