In the past years I have always felt that New Years was just another day where we change our calenders and the dates when we write a check and so on.It's just the same ole',same ole' Some years I would have friends or other associates convince me to make a New years resoloution. They never worked. My mother mostly would tell me that they were silly and unrealistic.I stopped making resoloutions. However today I saw something that a friend put on Facebook that started me thinking....." If you make a resoloution without a plan then it is simply a wish". I thought about that and came to the conclusion that that is probably right,I did not have a plan. So,I think this year I might make a plan and hopefully it will work this coming year. Do you make new years resoloutions? Do they work? How do you make them work?

I use to make New Years Resolutions but I stopped making them. Maybe I need to make a plan on how to keep them.

I don't make them because I don't believe that I would actually stick to them. So, I don't try to kid myself that I will actually do it by not bothering to make them.

Usually I when I have made New Years resolutions I have not been able to keep them for more than a couple of months at most.Though I think it's because I have been over optimistic about the size of the change I could make to my lifestyle. This year I hope to be successful as the change I'm making isn't that big.All I hope to do is save up a little extra money to put in my boat fund,a big part of this will involve my online earnings so I will just be doing something I already do,just doing more of it.

I think for this 2013, i will really have a New Year's resolution. That is to exercise and eat very less rice or none at all specially at night, so the fats in my stomach can melt away. In fact, last night i started it.

I sometimes make a list of New Year's Resolution however not all the time was I able to succeed in following them. Though, this year, I vow to stop all my smoking (I smoke sometimes especially when Im stressed out with work) and also, to save money. Well, for it to work, I am asking my husband to join me and help me in this. Hopefully, we can do it.

Yes I do make new year resolutions but I wasn't able to follow them all. It's like I write them down on the first of January then a few weeks later all of them were broken already. I guess what your friend posted in facebook was right. I think resolutions and making plans work hand in hand. I should start making resolutions and plan on how to make it happen. It would definitely help if you have a guide on how to make the resolutions possible. Thank you for sharing that. I'll write resolutions with plans from now on. =)

I don't usually make new New Year's Resolutions, rather I renew a couple of old standby's. One: I am going to save all of my on-line earnings in my vacation fund. Two: I'm not going to take crap from anyone! So far I've been able to keep them both for about 10 years now.

I don't make resolutions because I consider them to be stupid... "I will wait until new year to stop smoking" "I will wait until New Years to get fit" All resolution are nonsense, as though some date has mythical qualities I won't be doing it

Failing to plan is planning to fail. The resolution should be based upon serious reflection of the past experiences and future goals. In this way what you resolve to do will have high chances of success.
