Music has changed a lot in all of these years, since the original music from the 70, 80, 90, to the less creative and more commercial music of this days. What do you thin about this change? Do you like more this music or do you want the old stuff back?

Music has evolved much in all these years. But today music has become more of a nuisance. It creates more noise than looking on quality. It is not the same as of old days. Lot of new singers are coming up but nobody can beat the sweetness of compositions created by Mozart or Beethoven. I personally Feel that the commercial aspect of music might have downgraded it.

Well, overall there is good and bad about the music these days. Many times there are people out there making CDs and such that I wonder why, but there are some Good ones out there. Very few though that will remain a classic people will still want to listen too in 20 yrs. Some of my favorites groups always will be Kiss, Journey, Starship and Eagles. Can never tire of these.

I take a little from each generation I think. I don't however like all of the music that talks about the size of things, and being high all of the time. I kind of like it hidden in the song instead of thrown right in your face, or even the swearing. You can sing and get your point across without swearing.

I think music is always good if it has an audience it's good. For example I like dubstep. Every says it's terrible but millions listen to it! That makes it music.

old stuff has stand the test of time .. who would beat earth wind and fire? chakakan? Beatles? and a lot more. and the music now a days are almost computerized and even the voice are computerized. it is far from singing the lie and the recorded. but so far it is till entertaining specially when they have a version of acoustic. adam lambert is one of the singers that is good with live and so as kelly clarkson. some of the artist are good only during the recorded. i also enjoy neo's songs he is a good composer. so not all are that bad ... if you listen carefully specially the lyrics.. it is not that bad as well. it evolves. my ipod is full of music from the past and a few also of the present ... add to that bruno mars is a good one too.

I believe that all of the decades are great and they all have quality music. The older styles such as the Doors and Led Zeppelin have quality music to them. They were more instrumental, than now. However; I enjoy Carrie Underwood and many other country music. They have great voices.

Music changes as time goes. Music of the 80's is the most beautiful one , if you listens to it like your soul reaches to heaven , so soothing songs. Lyrics and melody are just so perfect. Comparing to the present , it is still good but the beat is quiet different . No music can beat the 80's and it will live from generation to generation. Even young appreciates and love these songs.

Generally, every generation has their own style of music. As time passes by, the expectations of the music industry changes the type of music that is considered mainstream. This is due to the evolving taste of music from an audience within a different generation compared to the previous one. Although I do want to hear on the radio or see on TV the music of the 90s, that phase of music is gone and a new trend has taken over. I think more music nowadays has a lot of musicians using technology to create beats with a lot of synthesized sounds. I have noticed, however, that sometimes there is too much use of it, which can become very annoying. Another thing I see is some musicians of a specific genre are trying to use beats and melodies from other genres of music. For example, I have noticed more rap/hip-hop artists implement more techno sounds in their songs. I really don't like it. For me, it's like a clashing of two gears grinding together making an awful noise. But that's just my opinion. I am not saying there are no artists that fuse genres well, but I see it accomplished more from independent musicians rather than mainstream musicians.

In this age of modern technology, and advancement comparing music from the previous eras, Music in this modern age is undeniably well produced and well manufactured that you can't distinguish its authenticity, unlike from the old days where music is really made from scratch from materials and not electronic. Although advancement is good there are cons pertaining the advancement of music mainly because it is purely produced, you can't distinguish the real tone or the real voice of the Artist which has a con most especially when such is performing live because they can't hit up the notes that was made in the studio version of some songs.

Music today seems very generic. especially the pop stuff. I don't even consider today's pop stars artists. You can basically substitute one for another since they don't even write their own songs or have a distinct sound. I love 80's stuff: classic metal, alternative, goth, etc... I think my favorite decade was the 90's. There were so many different types of music and everyone seemed open to it all. Grunge, Ska, Big Band/Swing, the kind of hippiesh stuff like Blind Melon and Rusted Root, alternative, rap/metal and the nu-metal stuff towards the end of the decade. Loved it all.

Mainstream pop sucks. But things like power metal, dubstep (not Skrillex, i luv Monstercat Media) and other "unknown" genres, are doing amazingly well.
