Yuletide season,it's that time of the year where Philippines hold the annual Metro Manila Film Festival to showcase locally produced films.Among the eight films: Shake,Rattle&Roll, Sisterakas, Thy Womb,Sosy Problems,El Presidente, Agimat...,The Stangers, and One More Try, none of these films, ironically, tackled about Christmas.

Then what is the christmas spirit? And why should films have that? Or only have that in December? If there should be christmas spirit it should be there every day of the year/our lives. You can't make films only about that or?

My point is, since Metro Manila Film Fest only happens once a year in yuletide season in Philippines( I don't have an idea which time of the year your country holds film festivals) it wouldn't hurt that much if there they (writers/directors) would insert a few seconds/minutes in the movie about Christmas or at least "spirit of Christmas". It doesn't necessarily mean that the movies should have a Christmas theme. Since you are not from my country, perhaps you don't have an idea what kind of movies I am talking about.

I noticed that too. At least before when they had Mano Po it quite maintained a bit of a Christmas theme.

I think the local movie industry should produce family oriented Christmas themed films. Is "Tanging Yaman" a Metro Manila film fest entry in 2001?
