Hi, Each month everytime I receive my salary I separate a budget for my clothing. If I spend all of that money during the month, I don't buy any clothes anymore. If I didn't spend it, I spend it the next month with my budget for the current month.

Actually, I have the least budget for the clothing . Aside from I rarely go to the clothing shops in the mall, I only have to spend much when we have to send a package back home. I also prefer to go to places where clothes are cheap but nice and durable.

XD i only buy new stuffs when i need it. since i got a lot of clothes in my closet, i just going to wear them until they wear off.

I just used to buy new clothes when I find I am fed up with the clothes I wear. During those time I just used to take new clothes with new color and new design. So that I would love to wear it for a long time. Most of the times I just go for the new clothes when one or two months passes away.

Problem with clothes is their impermanence, their slow deterioration from snazzy garments into rags fit for nuclear holocaust surviors, requiring replacement clothes, even more replacement clothes. See, once that "I need to wear clothes" Paradigm foisted on you by the fashion industry gets implanted on your brain, you'll have to purchase clothes on a semi-regular basis. Well it's not really bad cause clothes are important to society, as long as you can sustain your clothes buying, it's not a problem. I actually shop for clothes ones every 6 months and I'm okay with that. :)

I am a mother, so the wants are usually for my child first. But i have found that i am so far behind in my fashion and upkeep that it makes me feel bad about my accomplishments. Usually good clothing means some form of success. I work hard all my life and if you look in my closet you couldn't really tell. I think i should dress as someone who has a job? I started buying my self a top or bottom at least once a month, and hold on to them. This way i can grow a wardrobe. It depends on your life style, and what you have in your life. If you want to control, i would set an amount of money to the side just for that, not half your check but like a portion. So promise your self , if by the end of month i have for example 80 dollars to spend on clothes, just get 80 dollars worth of clothes, and keep in mind you have next month to get what you couldn't that month. Good luck.

i seriously seldom by new clothes just because we don't much money. i do buy them once in awhile from a thrift store but not very often brand new unless there is a really great sale.

I don't buy new clothes often. Since I don't concern about my look so much as well as when I was young. Besides, I already have a lot of clothes. My wardrobes are already so full even if I have given some of my clothes away. I felt guilty to it since there are quite a lot of clothes that I haven't worn a few times yet. It is a kind of waste. So I decided not to buy so many clothes.

I don't buy that much clothes new that often. A lot of times people buy new clothes for me when it's around certain parts of the year. I normally don't spend that often over $20 when it comes to clothes. I normally only buy when I need to buy new clothes. The only people that I buy new clothes all of the time are my kids because they are so small they out grow clothes really quickly.

I'm not really into shopping, and I don't really buy clothes if I don't feel necessary to add some in my wardrobe, or if there's an occasion. Although, at times I would really be attracted by some designs, I try to refrain from buying them especially if the apparel isn't very practical to wear. I'm a girl, and I had been surprising my girl friends and my sisters because they can't believe that a girl my age wouldn't be into shopping clothes. I just don't feel like wasting money, and I also save them up to buy stuffs that are harder to purchase than clothes. XD

When I was still single, I buy new clothes every month. I would spend one-thirds of my pay on shopping but when I had a son, I only buy new clothes every quarter of the year! Last year, if I remember it correctly, I have only gone shopping thrice! I checked my closet, and i only have four new pair of shirts and one new pair of pants and just one pair of shoes! This year, I vow to get myself new top and new pants at least every two months! Of course, my son would always come first.

I try and replace and buy one or 2 pieces of clothing per month here. That way im not putting out 300-400.00 all at once. Doesnt feel so bad spending 30.00-40.00a month, and getting a few nice things for it. Ive always shopped for cloths this way. have a great day there. See ya...

As I am an 'older' girl, I guess I don't feel it necessary to always be buying clothes. I like the clothes I have as I am very picky and selective of what I buy. Usually I buy something new every season as clothes do wear out. But what I have a hard time controlling is buying beads to make myself jewelry. I like bracelets and enjoy making bracelets for myself. So, that is where I let myself go. It doesn't cost so much as I try to buy the beads on sale. So, I can change my outfits by changing the jewelry and accessories. Perhaps, (this is just a suggestion) is to buy accessories when you go shopping with your friends. Then you are still buying something but it isn't costing so much. A colorful scarf, a pretty necklace, etc.

Flashy... - Yes, I was when I was younger; today, far less so; money was no object when I was younger, as it is today. Alas.
Well, as far as this one guy is concerned, very very rarely. Not because I don't want to; simply I can't afford them. It's not always been like this; I used to quite regularly buy clothes, and I've amassed quite a wardrobe. Last decade, I used to like to buy lots of designer clothes. I was pretty expensively dressed. But I ran into financial difficulties, and so was forced to curtail my spending, and one of these casualties was clothes. Had I the money, I'd buy many more clothes. Sad to think, but when i was younger I actually threw clothes away; or gave them away...the fact being that money was not so much an object as it is today. As a young man, I loved clothes, and bought lots of them, and many were bought for me, the more flamboyant the better: yes, I was a flashy dresser. Today I find myself in a position of hating waste; yes, I've been wasteful, and it hurts to realise this.

Hi!! I very rarely buy clothes and when I buy them I get a lots of them so the gap between my shopping for clothes is very high.It may be about once in a year or once in ten months that I purchase clothes.I don't know why have not had the interest in buying newly launched stuffs I am not at fascinated by these things, may be is a boon this helps me save money a lot.
