While typing this discussion, I have a pealed orange right beside my table. I wonder if this could help me a lot. I still have cold for almost 24 hours and hoping to get well as soon as possible. I hate getting sick. Medication is expected to be expensive if this gonna get worst. Citrus fruits are said to be rich in vitamin C. But I heard one fruit that contain higher vitamin C. Are you familiar with this fruit? Gauva fruit is the one. But I cant have it this time. There are lots of it in our province but here in urban areas we don't expect fresh guava here. Its expensive especially those big ones.

The orange industry has brainwashed us into thinking the orange has the highest vitamin C of any fruit, but it just isn't so. I have never had a Guava, but I have had strawberries and strawberries are even higher than vitamin C than an Orange. Vitamin C is very good for you for fighting off all kinds of diseases and especially cancer. Yes, eat your vitamin C and drink plenty of fresh water and that will help you to feel better. It's funny you mention the orange, as yesterday I watched the Citrus parade from Florida. I never knew they had a citrus parade. Enjoy your Guavas.

Hi Mayryl, vitamin C is essential in our body it helps our immune system to be stronger and taking it is a good habit. However i found this drink really good also to help us fight the colds. It is a mixture of pure honey, lemon and tea in hot water. I tried this and it really works. So why not try it yourself also... ;)

Fruits are essential source of Vitamin C. Though this is taken to boost the immune system and prevent having colds. Prior to your sickness, are taking any supplements like Vitamins. If not, it will really make you catch colds in any rate. Thus you can just continue having that fruits, water therapy and medications.
