Homeless family called to wish................

Mexico
January 1, 2013 10:02am CST
I know you remember the homeless family I helped at xmas time. They called me today. To wish me a happy new year. It was the first time since they left, I talked to the dad. It was always the mom who called. He was crying telling me, how things have changed for the good in last 8 days. he said that last night, his kids wanted to see me and giv eme a hug for helping them. it really wasnt much help, anyone could have done it. The mom told me that the uncle is paying her to clena the house for him. So now both have small jobs. Im so happy for them......

Good to hear that your good deed changed so much. You say that it was not realy much help, anyone could have done it. But the fact is nobody did, except you! I am happy for them as well, but also for you!

It's really awesome how things turned around for them. Now I have a few unemployed friends, and am hoping that things turn around for them this year too.

One of my unemployed friends wouldn't have to worry about that, but the other one, when her boyfriend's money runs out, not too many choices. He can't leave Sacramento County because he's on probation.

What a blessing you have been to this family Maria. How sweet of them to call and wish you a Happy New Year. Also, what great news that the Mom and the Dad both have jobs, even though the jobs are small at least they both have jobs and they can start rebuilding their lives. Wonderful news!

Hey Maria, yeah we've had a good day. I'm calling it an early night tonight. I've been freezing all day so I'm going to turn in early and hopefully get a little extra sleep. I went to Kmart and bought some movies for the kids and I to enjoy. Have a great evening.

That is wonderful that you were able to help the family out when they needed it. I am glad that they found jobs to help them out I know that they may not be high paying jobs, but at least they are making a little money. I hope they continue to have good luck and that things get better for them.

Everytime I saw those homeless people and sleeping at the street. I were doing nothing to help them. But in bottom of my heart, there were so many things I don know about this world So tiny. Blame myself like I put them sleep at the street. There were many thought such as they deserve it and we should not help them, But my emotional always strike. But i just could not extend to help them

What a wonderful start to your New Year. You have gained a family there, even if they are not related by blood. Anyone could have done something, but you actually chose to do something. That is a good lesson for all of us.

Hello mariaperalta. You are so nice a girl as to help the homeless family with a big heart. The family are appreciated for your help that they called to say Happy New Year to you. I am glad to know that they have finally found some small jobs that can help support their family life with the income though not much. I wish them to find more jobs to make more money for a better life. Take care, friend.

That is wonderful. I wish them all the best. I do know of a homeless family who was able to get themselves back on their feet again, they were able to get jobs and found a nice rental home. Then, later, they were able to buy a small house, and a few years later, bought a very nice larger home. It is really important to help families in such a difficult situation to stay positive and hopeful. Glad to hear you were able to help and encourage this family.
