cheese rolling festival

I am very familiar with the festival, which is reputed to be a several hundred years old tradition. It takes place in Gloucestershire, which is probably about 130 miles from my home. I have never actually visited the festival, although I have watched it a few times on television. It would probably be a very good day out because it is silly enough to be good fun. Britain may have lost most of the Empire and we are no longer a major world power, but we still lead the world when it comes to being silly.

Well i have never heard about this festival but after reading this discussion, i think it sounds pretty much interesting and i can gauge how much people would be enjoying being a part of this festival. But to be very honest, this festival might be dangerous as it is played on a hill so people have to be extra cautious while participating in it. What say?

hi poppoppop okay hope I got the right number of p's.I have never heard of the cheese rolling competition but it sounds like fun but I would just watch and avoid getting hurt that way. I will have to read about it as I am here in the US and many miles and an ocean away lol.Plus no money for fare to get there. lol

i heard about it and not only that it sounds to be so funny and the cheese is rolling all the time and people flock to it
