I met a new friend last night at the party for she was also one of the judges in the presentation and I learned that we have one thing in common---we have pets and we love them. But my God, she has 7 dogs and 12 cats! I was so amazed to know how she is able to keep up with everything, feeding, bathing, etc. She only has one help at home but she is a full-time homemaker so she devotes all her time to her pets. She is a Filipina and her husband is a German. They have a son who is now travelling with her husband to Europe. She has to stay home because of her pets. Have you ever met anyone with so many pets? Is it possible to equally love all of them when you have so many? How do you even recognize one cat from the other when there are so many of them?

I knew someone who has almost a dozen cats in her house. I'm really surprised. She loves her pets so much and they scattered all around her house. It is quite overwhelming. :-)

I can just imagine the amount of litter they also make.

Yes, I also wonder the smell they have when they urinate and have their waste. The pet owner really loves them. :-)

If my ex had had their way we'd have a whole house full of cats! It was only a two bedroomed small house, with four cats and two rabbits, my ex kept pestering me to get a dog, but I am not a dog person, I am just not comfortable around dogs, but I was resolute there was no way I was having a dog in my home and there was no way I'd have any more animals, because as much as they loved animals it was left to me to look after them, my ex worked, I was out of work so it was down to me to care for their needs, plus it's all the vet bills as well, and as you know vet bills do NOT come cheaply. I am just happy with one cat and that is it, no more animals!

That's your life, Wolfie, people indeed vary. Some people love to have many pets but others don't want any.

If she has a little child or kids going to school everyday and also having a regular job, I think she cannot manage to handle what her pets needs everyday. She is lucky because she doesn't have any job everyday except to take good care her pets. For us who have a lots of works did everyday, we have limited time to spent our pets. In our home, we stop having pet because of our situation. I am hoping to have dogs again soon

She has a grown-up son who is travelling with his dad so she is left home with her pets.

I know of two families with lots of pets. One family has three dogs,2 cats, two cockateel's,5 rabbits, alot of fish and a horse! This on top of three kids! The other family, who also have three kids, has two Guinea Pigs,3 dogs,5 cats,a parrot and own 7 horses, too! All are well taken care of and the families can afford them! As long as a family cna fford their pets I see nothing wrong with that!

Yes, it needs budget to have pets because you need to feed them, bring them to the vet, etc.

My mother in law and her mother have 35 dogs in their houses each. They breed chihuahua's and they cook for these dogs and take the best care of them that I have ever seen in my life. I personally could never have that many pets in my house but they seem to love it. I don't agree with breeding in the first place but that is their choice, not mine to make... I am always amazed at how well they care for their dogs since there are SO many!

How does she keep up with so many animal around the house ?? I love pets but i would not devote so much time to take care of them , I would be traveling to Europe also with my family not staying home with pets . I have heard of cats ladies but she is beyond that .

She is. She only has one helper at home but she is a full-time homemaker so she does the caring of these pets herself.

We have pets at home but not as many as your new friend.. we have four cats and a dog.. but I remember when I'm still young we have six cats three dogs, hamsters, fishes, birds and even rabbits.. my brother loves to take care of animals so our home is ike a mini zoo.. but now its different because my brother now have a house of his own he is living with his family now.. and they only have four dogs.. anyways.. when you have pets you can't equally love them because I'm sure you will have favorites but it doesn't mean you will not take care all of them..

Yeah, like in her case, she has one cat that she brings to her room to keep her company at night, while all the rest stay outside.

Hope the dogs and cats get alone with each other. They must be like her children for her. Some people like a large family, so I suppose, some people like to have lots of pets. Perhaps she just likes having lots of animals around her. For me, one dog or one cat is too much. I like dogs and cats but not interested in having a pet. I guess, each to their own. As long as she can look after them, that is what counts. I would rather she had all those dogs and cats and looked after them all, then to see someone with one dog or one cat, then abuse and neglect that pet. So, I wish her all the best.
