It had it coming...

"Middle" cat has her odd moments--as she demonstrated quite well this morning. She walked over and sat down by the land line phone. She looked at it and reached out with her claws extended, hooked the cord and pulled the receiver off hook! I guess she must have thought that the phone had it coming. Perhaps, she thought that this would be a good solution to those calls from telemarketers... Have your cats done anything odd... Er... Wait... They're cats... What I meant to ask was have they done anything odder than usual recently?

Oh if only you had a video of it.

I wish I had captured that on video. There are so many things that she and her older brother did over the years, but those moments weren't recorded. They were wonderful kitties-- with some rather interesting habits.

Only if you count being in the sink and/or the bathtub. Not really too odd.

That isn't truly odd, but it is utterly adorable. :-) We actually lost this kitty (the "middle" child) earlier this year-- the boy a couple of years ago. So, we now have a new little boy-- who is a bundle of "Oh-no-what-has-he-done-now!" energy. His older sister (who was the "baby" at the time I wrote this) gives a very good eye roll...

Well back when we owned a cat, that was back in the day where we owned a webtv. It seemed like when she felt she was being ignored, she would reach over and turn it off with her paw, and sit on the keyboard, so having your cat doing something like this is a natural reaction I would think.

My cats will also tap the computer or tablet. My male cat even faced off against the remote control one day; I think that he didn't like what was on television at the time.

I don't recall any of mine ever doing exactly this before. Or, perhaps, I was simply not in the room when they did it. My cats keep me entertained... and busy.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Ha ha ha, well that sounds funny and u wont believe it is always a treat to watch the antics and skills of pet animals especially the cats because they hardly know how the electronic stuffs works and that is the reason why they keep on experimenting with them every time. Although i do not own any pets but i have seen how playful and interesting the pet animals are in certain cases. What say?

Oh, my cats understand at least sort of the purpose of the telephone I think. A cat's hearing is much better than a human's, so they can hear the other end of the conversations I have. So, they hear their Daddy's voice or other people's voices.
