Are gays sinners?

I have so many friends that are called Gays, Bisexuals, Homosexuals, whatever you call them. I get along with them so well, they are good people. I just don't know why some people call them sinners. From what I heard it's because God created only man and woman that why some call them sinners. But what is the point?! Did God not tell us to love our neighbors as we love are self? Why hate them? Please I need answers.

Exactly , this is what our bible says! So we have no right to tell who is sinner and who is not for we don't have the power to read ones mind and heart . We should do our obligation !

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, i think the people who claim gays are sinners are sinners themselves. No body has the right to raise fingers at them, they are also human beings and have equal right in the society. Its high time that we all come of age and do not speak such rubbish things. They also have a life to live and we cannot deteriorate their status in the society. What say?

The question that is really bothering me is, why the church start this? I mean they are the primary people who say that gays are sinners? I have nothing against the Church but I don't think that some of their acts are wrong.

We hate what we don't understand. It's the history of us as a people in general. If we don't understand it or don't know it we tend to outcast it. It's wrong and people use all kinds of reasons to explain it. And actually in history the most used excuse is God. That itself should be a sin. But we could quote the bible all day proving both sides yet people stay blind and see only what they want.

As long as people are happy who really cares. Those who run around condeming other people are busy bodies.Live and let live ,this is not a dress rehearsal we are only on this earth once. love thy neibour is a bit of a joke for some people.I always think if you can find love and be happy then get on with it.There are plenty of lonely people in this world as it is.Some people have strong views on sexuality and get very upset.I think they should concentrate on their own lives and stop upsetting other people.I am glad you get along with everyone like me.I have plenty of friends and you sound the same.Good talking my friend.

I don't find a reason to call them a sinner, or a wrong doer or something. They are humans just with extra unusual priorities in their life. And i find there is no harm in living your own life on your own terms. It is our life and we can live it the way we want, until and unless it is not causing pain or suffering to anyone around us.

What do you mean by "extra unusual priorities in their life"? There are a lot of people in this country that are gay, bi, etc. We are not talking about only a couple people in a little cult in the middle of nowhere that are about to drink the koolaid. It might be unusual to you. But is perfectly normal and now acceptable to be gay in the United States.

I think one can not change one from the Gay to heterosexual or from heterosexual because it is more of genetic. Sometimes it can also be due to the way one is grown. As of a sin part, there is no sin in being gay, because they do not kill anybody or steal something which is a crime. It will be sin if they force someone else to be the same, also it can be crime if you force them to be heterosexual. However it is important to be heterosexual because if more gays are there then less of the reproduction will take place and the humans will seize to exit. So it is good that we are not gay. Also I have to produce my photocopies because I want to my DNA to live.

That was just a random idea, I know it is already overpopulated and it is not easy to make it less. I think the population is also a factor which control the world economy and pollution etc. Maybe people are becoming gay to stop the population explosion, to save the world. I am not going to become gay to do that, but I promise that I will not have more than two children.

I really don't think you need to worry about the human race ceasing to exist. For starters the planet is overpopulated as it is and amongst the seven billion people of the world there will always be more than enough heteros to keep the population going. Also gay people can have kids too, with the miracles of IVF and surrogacy etc and plenty are, many gay people have just as much desire to have kids as heteros. But at this point considering we are unable to produce enough resources to support the current population and the fact that even attempting to accommodate all those people is destroying the world I'm really not worried if the gay population who don't want kids increases 100fold, 1000fold, 10000fold. There's still plenty of people and will be until some cataclysm wipes us out.

I respect the gays, I think it is quite normal for a person choose his lovers. But here many people can not accept gays, the law here also do not protect gays' rights. So many gays hide their choice and get married with a normal woman. The action makes a lot of tragedies, which makes gays be hated by other people.

Christians are not hate anyone. Jesus not only said that we should love our neighbors but also our enemies. We are all sinners in some way or another. However, we should continue to align our lives with God's ways and commandments. The more we do that the happier we are and it will put us in the path of receiving everlasting life.

hi there, with regard to your main topic, they are not sinners. and being tagged as LGBT does not constitute that they should be called sinners. every individual has its own right to do what is just. as long as he or she didn't do anything wrong to his/her fellow then, he or she can act freely. i guess, what others should do is to give respect to those people as they deserved to be treated well. thus respect should be given to all except if they did something wrong which is not really acceptable.

Yes, they are sinners---sinning everytime they call themselves "Gays" rather than 'children of G*d who happen to prefer the wrong gender.' Just like "Straights" sin by referring to themselves by that name. We are children of G*d, obeying Him even if it LOOKS LIKE "sin" to the third-party's eyes.

Those people who judge are the sinners. We all have the right to love other and we cannot choose whom to love. One our hearts sparks. We cannot do anything about it. Most gays are full of love. They see good things without even judging someone.

We are all sinners despite our gender identity. Besides, what is religion's measurement on how homosexuality is a "sin"? In fact, religion should be out of the question when it comes to a person's gender identity.

Everyone is a sinner and so does the homosexuals. If you believe and read the Bible, nothing to argue about. The Bible is clear about homosexuals.

Being gay is not representative of a given class of people so obviously there will be sinners among them and also many that are not sinners. The simple fact of being gay cannot be justified as sinful in itself, although I am aware that there are still many people naïve enough to think that way. I know many gay people, some of whom are good friends, and since they do not judge me on the grounds that I was born heterosexual I see no reason why I should judge them on similar grounds. I consider this to be no different than the fact that some people love jazz music while I prefer opera, but it does not generate distrust or dislike between us.

We should love and respect all creatures, most especially the highest life form created by our Maker. Those who hate them are narrow-minded and need to study psychology in order to have better understanding of people and their differences. We were all created different so we should learn to accept and respect these differences.

We are all sinners. No one sin is any greater than any other sin. If you tell a lie, you have sinned. If you do something that you know you are not suppose to do it is a sin.

I always believe that God is the only one who can say who are the sinner and who are not... It is not right that some put an accusing finger to someone and says that he/she commits a sin without noticing his/her own sin too. Everyone of us has our own mistakes and we don't know what is the level of mistake to be categorize as sin... Well, every sin, small or big it is, is still a sin... As of you, there is nothing wrong to befriend with them. God says that we should love each other and they are still part of this humanity no matter what... In the end, God is the only one who will say what is right from wrong...
