Drinking eight glasses of Water a Day?

Do yall like drinking water? I use to never drink water or like drinking water for that matter. I used to hate hate drinking water, unto I found out how important water is for us, and what it does for out bodies, water flushes out many toxins that are in our bodies and that is a big plus, I usually try to drink water from a half of gallon container, so I can make sure I drink the appropriate amount for the day, when you drink water you feel better, and healthier in my opinion.!!!:)

I love drinking water now! I used to be the same way also, I hated drinking water. I couldn't drink it with meals because I always thought it made the food taste bad somehow, even though that doesn't make sense. I was so used to drinking pop though (soda) so I just hated it. Now I have water with almost every meal. I'm not up to drinking 8 glasses a day yet though, but I drink at least 6. I'll get there! :)

Hi Yarnprty, thank you for your response I really appreciate it. I think that to begin drinking eight glasses a day of water is serious it can be hard, I know I have to remind my self to drink the amount that is needed. I love water now just like you, but the only downside to that is I have to use the bathroom more frequently, lol you know?

I was just saying not long ago that today I have been going to the bathroom more often than usual lol. I think I've had more water today.

Hey Yarnprty, that is so true I say that each and everyday , when I start having to go to the restroom like crazy lol. Hopefully something will change, and I can still drink the right amount of water, without the side effects you know lets keep our hopes high on that lol!!:)

I completely agree that water is very good for you, it flushes unneeded stuff out and helps your body run because being even a little dehydrated can make you tired, give you headaches, and slow down things like your metabolism. I actually drink about 11-12 glasses of water a day but that's because I like to run and it's almost critical to stay hydrated during a run.

I think you are so right, this is why drinking water is a must, we must really tell others about drinking water as much as we can, because many don't realize how our bodies are depending on water to keep us dehydrated, so that we won't have all those bad affects you know?!!!:)

Yeah I know, so many people are drinking like 4 glasses of "water" tops. And it's not real water because its all these sodas and sugar drinks. I'm sure that like every once in a while they'll go to a drinking fountain or something but that's just not enough. It's good to know that I'm not the only one out there that drinks drinking water more than those sugar drinks.

I absolutely hate water! I know it is good for us and everything but I just cannot stand not having any flavor to something I am drinking. Water literally makes me sick to my stomach when I even think about drinking it. I know thats terrible but its true! Lol. I have tried over and over again to drink more water and I just cannot make myself get used to the no flavor...

Hi LovingMyBabies, I can understand where you are coming from with that, hating water, becausse ther's no flavor to it like you said, unless you buy flavored water. But yeah I like water I'm not crazy over it, I grew to like it because it's good for our health and i'm all for good health you know lol Good luck with that water sorry to see that it bothers you so much.!!!:)

I always drink plenty of water, they say, water dispose toxins in our body and drinking a lot of water helps to normalize the circulation of our blood and away from for some sickness :)

Just continue to drink water and you will be good, but granted that you don't over do it okay be mindful of your body when it says that's enough for today listen of my friend?!!!:)

I also was the same way never drinking water, until some years ago I was in the hospital for dehydration. I am now making sure I drink it but I like to put lemon juice in mine I need that flavor to it, I'm getting that water. I'm the Frugal Bree

Hey BreeSoFrugal1, This is true, I'm sorry to hear that you was in the hospital for dehydration, that's a terible thing I bet, I never had to experience something like that. I glad to see that you are doing better and now sticking to drinking water this is awesome, Mind you I have tried the lemon and the lime in my water not for flavor but because someone told me it was really good for our health, and I like that to. Good post!!!:)

I used to drink water only when I felt thirsty.But someone told me that when you feel thirsty that means your body is severly lack of water.I do not quite sure about the amount of water I drink everyday.But I think I drink the appropriate amount.

Hi Summer0614, I Know I heard this to, I felt that way befor as well, and this kind of thirst was thirst for water, it was like my body was saying I need some water to satisfy my thirst, and nothing would do this but water, not soda, not juice, only water allowed me to get rid of that thirst that I was having, and mind you I didn't drink water in a week or so when it happen maybe longer.!!!:)

I just woke up and reading this discussion makes me remember that I have to drink the water, I drank one glass afterwards. I think it is really important to drink the water in required proportion. It is advisable to drink water at the time you wake up in the morning because it keeps you out of so many diseases. It helps in reducing the tension, makes you fresh, and helps in body functions.

I know many people struggle with the fact of drinking water, many say it is not as good as soda or juice, that is is to plain, but it still works it helps get me healthy so I don't mind.!!!:)

I know for sure that water is great for our bodies, we need it you know, they say that we shouldn't go a day without drinking it, but many goes days without drinking it , and I use to be one of them but glad that i'm not any longer.!!!:)

I drink a lot of water myself, but it is usually when I am trying to quench a thirst. I drink water out of a gallon jug, which comes out to me drink about 2 gallons a day. Wherever I go, I always have a gallon jug with me to drink from stuffed in my backpack, but because I am a big guy, it is easy for me to drink that much in a short period of time. I also keep one by my bed to have in case I get thirsty overnight. Some nights, I start off with a full jug, and wake up to an empty one in the morning. These days, the gallon jug is my glass, since I can drink a glass of water in seconds.

Frankly, I don't like drinking water since it is plain. It is boring to drink it. However, I try to drink more water everyday since it is the best and healthy drink for us. This is why I have a big cup in the office. At least it will be a trick for me to drink a lot of water everyday

I feel the same as you, in fact all I was drinking was diet coke practically. I keep having periods of time where I try to drink more water, but then I give up and just feel more deprived from soda because I was trying to replace water with it. I'm actually drinking water as I make this post. I'm trying again to be healthier and figure water is a great start. I don't hate water but I have a hard time drinking more than a few sips.

I used to have the same problem. I mean I still have it. I never really liked drinking water, but this bad habit can lead to serious health complications and it can affect many internal systems. It's no joke with it. Now I am trying to drink more tea(as I already have a kidney affection), and even though I don't like it, I put myself together and I drink it. I have also observed this, that after I drink a glass of water I feel better. It makes me feel somehow fresh. One more thing, make sure you drink water constantly. I guess you know the feeling of thirst. When you are feeling thirsty your body is already in pain.

We all drink water after eating our meals and after each snacks or whenever we eat something. Water is always there for us. Lately, I observed that I drink less water as I feel that I easily become full everytime I eat. I even forgot drinking even a little amount of water.

Drinking water is good but how much water does we need per day is the question . Some people say it is eight glasses some are saying 6 glasses of water is enough per day. Anyway ,about 80% of our body is made out of water so it must be good to consume more water for proper functioning of the body.

its true water is a natural remedy and will help the body in so many different things we dont even think of.i find when i drink lots of water i stay healthier and even my skin looks better,people should stick to this simple natural and cheap remedy.

When i was a teenager i always hate water even to take bath.But after i became adult of 20years i become heavily smOkers.I smoke every hours,so from then i drink a lot of water i can expect how much i had drinked and how much i'm drinking.BTW AS A SMOKERS I drink lot of water. Thanks for sharing this.

I drink about 1.5L of water a day. I need to drink more sugary drinks for my health and so I can't always drink just water more. I have low blood sugar even after eating three meals a day and so as much as I'd like to drink more water I have to drink sugary stuff. I could just eat the sugary stuff but I hate sweets. At this current moment I am not sure how much 1.5L of water is.
