I Love Netflix!

I swear that Netflix is one of the best technological creations EVER! Why even buy cable..? There is NEVER anything on TV and whatever news, sports that you happen to miss.. you can always check online lol. I watch something on Netflix every single day. Drawn Together, Ren & Stimpy, Jersey Shore, Rocko's Modern Life, High School of the Dead, Blood, That 70s Show, Aah! Real Monsters and that's just to name a few. Most of the shows have most of the seasons and if not, you can just check movie2k.to for the latest episodes from recent shows and new movies! I absolutely love Netflix and recommend it to anyone that does not have cable or is not very fond of what cable has to offer. Netflix including tax is about 8.39 per month. Regular rate is 7.99 plus tax for 2 devices to be connected at once and one DVD out at a time. That's another great feature, if the show is not streaming to be viewed instantly, you can request the DVD and have it mailed to you within 2-3 business days and mail it back WHENEVER you're done with it, undamaged of course. Also, as long as you have a stable internet connection whether it is wireless or not and a Netflix ready device such as a PS3 or computer, you're good to go! Technical troubleshooting is available 24 hours 7 days a week if something goes wrong and also, you can be credited if you miss more than a few days of service without a resolution to the issue at hand. I could go on and on and on about why I love Netflix but lol I'll sound more like a spokesperson as if I work for them, but I will conclude with this. Unsure of whether you'll like Netflix or not? Well.. for those of you who have NEVER tried or had a Netflix experience, they are ALWAYS offering a 1 month free trial to new customers. You will have to list credit card information, however you will not be charged and it is initially only for verification purposes. Within that month, you must cancel the account if you do not want it to auto renew for the regular rate of a standard Netflix recurring subscription plan. If you cancel a day before the trial ends, you will not be charged. However, after a month of service, I'm sure you'll want to keep it!

We love Netflix too, been with them from the very beginning. In our towns Netflix put the Video stores out of business. They still have Redbox which we have only seen a few films from maybe a handful nothing more. Netflix is by far more superior.

Wow that's amazing and yea I think that pretty much happened here too because now that I think about it.. we don't have anymore video stores. We had a Blockbuster a few years ago that closed and sold all its inventory before doing so but that was almost a decade ago.. VHS stores disappeared way before then. It's crazy how small things like that you don't really notice as technological advances take place so quickly. I miss being able to go and rent movies that conveniently though and also get some free popcorn! lol from places like Movie Starz and that's really old! Red Box isn't really convenient for me and it's in one of the most populated areas in the city at the only Sheetz super gas station in town. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

The nearest one from here isn't that far, maybe about 10-20 minutes, it just still an inconvenience when in comparison I can stream movies and shows instantly from the privacy of not even having to leave my home and also if it can't be streamed instantly, you can request to be mailed a DVD which you can return whenever you desire to lol. It's pretty cool.

Netflix is only available to people in the US so the services is not available in my country. Too bad. If it had been available in my country, I think I would have subscribed because compared to the satellite tv subscription that I used to have, the Netflix subscription is so much lower.

Yea, I read another comment above saying that it isn't available in Italy, either. I didn't know that it was only available in the US and that really does suck. But, since they are fairly new and still growing, maybe they will be in the process to international business soon! What country do you live in? Thanks for commenting!!

I live in an Asian country called Malaysia. Have you heard of my country? I hope that Netflix or Hulu will go international. That would really make it easy for me to watch my favorite tv shows and movies.

Yes I have heard of Malaysia, I have never been there though. Have you tried www.movie2k.to I use that alot when the TV shows and movies that I am looking for are NOT on Netflix. On that website, you can find mostly anything from really old classic stuff to the newest movies and newest episodes on TV right now. Also, it's free! You can stream all of that stuff instantly online without having to signup for anything or download anything. Hope this helps!

Let me try again since for some reason my reply didn't post the first time. I've used Netflix before. Actually been able to use the month-long free trial on two seperate occasions (long non-pirating story). I don't think I used it enough to warrant paying the monthly fee though. I'm just a physical medium kind of person when it comes to movies and TV shows, I guess. I'd just rather own them after paying a one time fee and to be able to watch them whenever I want. Which is kind of the opposite I was with music oddly. I had no problem switching to my iPod and iTunes and no longer buying CDs.

Don't get me wrong now, I have quite the extensive DVD collection.. but most of the ones I really want are really expensive or unavailable. And some things locally, I will not be able to find anywhere. Also, with the convenience of being able to use login information to access my account, I can be at a friend's house or in a hotel or virtually anywhere with Internet access. I don't use CDs as often anymore, I stream everything instantly via my Spotify app which I acquired from Facebook as a media player. Thanks for commenting!!

A big key for Netflix is you don't have to leave the house to view something as you do with Redbox. Just this weekend, I went through Netflix's listing of TV shows and came up with over 50 series that I put in my instant queue. And that's just TV shows and it doesn't include some shows that I've seen recently and would like to see again.

Yea.. that's what really turned Red Box off for me being that I do not want to have to travel (it is not close to where I live) in order to find something to watch that's decent because TV sucks. Netflix has a lot of old and new shows, old and new movies, the collection is endless. And whatever else you can't find should be available online lol. Thanks for sharing your views!!

I am like you, definitely a netflix fan! I just started my free trial at the end of December and I am glad I did! Your right, after the free trial I definitely don't want to cancel it. Lol. It is addicting. I don't have cable so netflix is perfect for us. My kids can watch their shows and I can watch my favorite movies and shows. I am very happy with it! =) I will never go back to cable, ever!

Lol I see you became instantly addicted like I did. Now if I could just find a site that streams TV instantly, I'll be satisfied. They are working on that now a site called NimbleTV or something like that, don't quote me. But that would be very innovative. Me and my daughter also love Netflix as it does have lots of cartoons and movies on there ranging from old to recent, it's very cool indeed! Thanks for sharing your views!!

I'm new to the site so I hope its ok to just jump right in to your post. I must agree with you I love Netflix as well. We live pretty far out in the country and don't have any video stores nearby. I think they did put a redbox at the local Walmart. But its so much better just to walk up to the mail box. We get movies delivered and it only takes about 3 days, but for us that works out well. The kids do alot of online streaming of movies also. Gret sevice for us.

Welcome to Mylot, we're glad to have you here! =) And yes all opinions are welcome. Netflix is a lot better in comparison to Redbox, I agree especially for those who do not want to travel or want a hard copy of what they want to watch. Netflix is very convenient and inexpensive for any household and you can watch different selections on multiple devices! It rocks. Thanks for sharing your views! Hope to see you post more here in the community.

I got netflix when it was only $4.99 a month. Once they started raising the price of membership I guit them. Yes they are awesome but I get my movies for $1 and change from Redbox and it works out fine for me because it's right around the corner from me and always has the movie I am looking for.

Yes, I've tried the Redbox once or twice, however it is quite inconvenient for me since there aren't that many in the area that I live. But, that is pretty inexpensive! Thanks for commenting!!

wow! i see you are a netflix fan. lol. i can dig that. i myself find it to be very limiting. for $8 per month, it should run like a torrent where i can get any movie i want. that's just my opinion. no need for you not to enjoy, though.

Why, yes I am =) And yes, I can agree with you also.. once you've seen a wide variety of movies or you are looking for something in particular that is well known, you would expect for them to be streaming it or have it available to be mailed as a DVD. I feel that pain sometimes too lol. Netflix does change up the variety ever so often, I'm not sure when or how.. but they do change up the selections. I hope that maybe if you were to try the service again in the future that you'll have a better experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

I know that there are some people that feel like the cost of NetFlix is a bit high because of the fact that they've raised their prices over time. However, I really do still feel like about eight dollars a month is a great rate for a lot of wonderful content. I got my subscription to NetFlix just about a year ago and I couldn't imagine going without it now. I watch something on NetFlix every day and love the fact that I'm able to watch the movies and television shows that I've always been a big fan of. NetFlix really is a great thing and if it wasn't for the fact that my husband likes to watch a lot of documentaries on our cable, I would get rid of cable and live on NetFlix instead.
