We hear about how it's important to have goals in life, both in the long- and short term. Do you agree? If you have long-term goals, what are they?

Oh, I'd love to own my own house someday too and I'm trying to work on it. I still have long years ahead. I wanna retire someday and be able to enjoy what I earned hard. Hahaha! Traveling around the globe is such a tempting goal. I love to travel. I tend to spare some extra cash for my travel spree but I haven't gone out of the country so far. I hope someday I'l lbe able to travel the world. :)

It's always best to set goals in life. Having goals will help you determine determine the path to cross as you move a long. For me, without goals, life doesn't seem to have directions. Every year, I try to jot down my short-term and long-term goals. Well, the shot-term goals changes yearly. I try to set my short-term goals on a yearly basis. Speaking of long-term goal, what I have in mind for the past years now is owning a house and lot myself. I'm just a simple employee with an average pay. I try to think of ways on how I can fulfill this dream. I'm thinking of investments. Right now, I only have one investment though. I got myself a life insurance. It's something I can claim before I'd 40years old. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to reach my long-term goal by that time hopefully.

I have a lot of long term goals. One of them is definitely to own a house and buy some land. And build a house on that lot. Another thing is for me to attend school figure out what degree I would like to do and figure out a career for myself and have a career something that I know that I will enjoy. I always wanted to adopt so I'm wanting to adopt 2 children if possible and have a few children of my own. Save up on money and maybe invest in some stocks. Another big goal of mine is travel around the world. Go to places like Paris and Italy are a few places I would like to visit. Another goal of mine would be an author of several books. Right now I am working on one and I'm planning on having it self published by the end of the year. I told you I have a lot. What are some of your long term and short term goals that you have.

I don't. I'm trying to stabilize the present at this point and trying to imagine something better/greater.

I have a few general long-term goals, but I haven't put a lot of thought into fleshing them out yet. There are a lot of short-term things that are standing in the way, like paying off our credit cards, and I really need to get those taken care of before I try to focus on the bigger things.

I'd say I have desires. But I don't like to talk about long-term plans, as of now, because I'm still young, and so many things can happen that make me change my mind. I kow now I'd like to get married and have kids in the next 5-8 years, but maybe it is gonna get delayed or the relationship is going to break up. I just don't like to make really punctual plans.

There are some things you can't know ahead, but it's never too early to start on the basics that will give you options when you are older. It doesn't hurt to work and save what you can before marriage, for instance.

When I was in college, my plan is to buy a house and I did so next plan is to buy a car and have a shop for my clothing and accessory business. For now, I'm only selling online and I was hoping that I could open a boutique and add shoes. It will cost a lot that is why I'm really hoping that I could achieve those plans. I also have a goal of finishing my studies and I hope that I can enroll this year.

I agree with you. It's important that we set goals. Short term and long term goals. My long term goals are to go to college and get my degree. Then hopefully start working in that field right after I graduate. That is what I would like to do. I would like to catch up on all my debits. As well as get a good savings account going. It will be nice if I can accomplish all of that.
