I don't know how young people see their lives nowadays. It seems that they can't gone through failure, nor they can't fight back the worst situation. They would commit suicide easily without finding a solution or fight back to it. You might already heard many of these stories, about school bullying, and students were upset about those threats and commit suicide themselves. Lately, a high school student in Japan just commit suicide because she couldn't stand the PE teacher gave her constant punishment at school. Why she would take her life easily like that, why not fight back, or talk to the principal, or even the authority. Have other people involve to help solve the situation if she seems unfair.

It's the Japanese culture not to accept defeat. It's their superego that failures is not acceptable and no space in their life. In fact I have a friend who is a Japanese,Even when he was still young before, competition is very severe. If you will become a loser you are ashamed to the family. You are putting attaching dirt to one's name.So it is then well remembered by kids that no matter what happen they need to excel in every competition even if others resort to illegal means.

I feel bad for the student. Their culture seems so different among the other Asian countries. I do think that there is always a way, but it depends on their systems.

Have heard of a lot of similar stories and it is really disappointing how much these kids would be so demotivated to struggle. I feel that somehow their perpetrators have really demoralized them that these kids see no other way to escape the pain and shame that they resort to killing themselves. Those perpetrators should be held liable for such actions.

Hi kingparker, this is really sad. I think there are other people who resort to things like this instead of fighting back because they fear that no one will be there for them if they fight back. I think it has something to do with psychological effect to a person. Support system is fundamental thing to consider when it comes to deciding for something as important as fighting back, it sounds wrong but other human beings are wired that way. I just pray that things like this should stop happening.

These kind of students do not have a strong heart, and when they feel grievance they usually will take some extreme way to fight for them, especially for nowadays kids more spoiled than the old days,so I think it is really necessary to teach kids that solve problem in a reasonable way.

Such young people probably have busy parents who never have time to listen to their problems and discuss about things. If children and their parents have a good communication such undesirable actions should be able to be avoided.

Hi kingpaker Yes i too don't understand the nature of youth ,kids of the modern arena they can't even bare even a single word against them and punishments i think they are taking it too personal rather than try to improve their performance / learn from their mistakes .Here in India also there are many such cases i think they are taking it as prestige issue of being scolded or punished in front of every one strange and Sad .Parents have to have to play a role to stop these kind of incidents by talking to their children time to time about their school / college life .
