Suddenly Kallis has hit a lean patch

Kallis has hit a lean patch and if it continues for 3-4 match, he will be struggling to make runs from there after. So this means, Kallis will soon be off the race to beat Sachin records. Age has finally to cast his shadow on great Kallis.

One of the greatest cricketer to have played this game. He like Tendulakr is nearing his end of his career. So obviously there could be days when he is off colour. He alsong with Ashim Amla are my favourites. They dont hog the limelight like our Tendulkars and Dhonis. They just do their duty silently and methodically

Yes, that can be the reason also. But in Pakistan and Srilanka, cricketers are as famous as they are in India. In England, people are crazy about football and English Premiere league is as famous as IPL in India. The thing that is famous, it will hog the limelight.

Yes Hashim Amla didn't get the fame like some other cricketers but he is very professional, dedicated and consistent performer and the cricketers around the world knows it. He just enjoys playing long innings due to his magnificent concentration.

anil they are not so famous in their country as our players in our country because their countries are not cricket crazed like ours.

Kallis is a great all-rounder who always played not for records, but for his team's victory. He is a player with great will power, but Sachin's records are still far away for him due to his age {37]

Let me clear one things, no body plays only for himself, they play for their country. Records just happens for them.

It is a general case. There are so many occasions in cricket that defensive batting of players after reaching 90's caused one of the factors for team's failure or missing of winning chances. Some great players continue to play even losing form towards the end of their career, are NOT playing to bring victory to their team, but just to add more numbers to their individual data in cricket matches. Kallis has already declared that he is to retire after next World Cup Cricket.

Every professional sportsperson goes through ups and downs in one's career. It is not humanly possible to be in your prime form always. Players most of the time are focused on giving their best to help their country win, which is more satisfying than any records or comparisons that media and fans may be interested in.

Truly said Mr Banta. But India is a record following country, they love cricketers who make records.

Kallis is the one of the last two surviving dinosaurs along with another one called as Sachin Tendulkar. :) With Sachin now having retired from the ODI versions, Kallis must himself be seriously be considering his career. Having said that I think he can continue to play as a batsman for the next two year. As they say form is temporary, while class is permanent. Cheers! Ram

Two years, I think surviving 2013 for Kallis can be a monstrous task. If he doesn't fire in the coming matches, he has to seriously consider career. I don't see Kallis should stop bowling to enhance his career. The day he thinks that he can't bowl, he should retire.

Hi anilclites Every sports person have up's and downs so no need to worry about Kallis lean patch as he is a class act he will be back in to groove soon.In my view he is the world's leading all rounder at present.I think it is hard to break sachin's record as kallis is already 37 it is not impossible but hard .

I always believe that if you loss form after 36, it's nearly impossible to get back in form. Sachin was lucky that he was in top form during his 36, 37 , 38 years. Kallis, if fails in another 2-3 test matches, than you never know, he may retire as well.

Kallis is certainly one of the best allrounders the game has seen but he is also nearing his retirement like Sachin and that is why I don't think he will be able to cross Tendulkar's records. But still he will be the role model for many aspiring cricketers who wants to become allrounders.

Kallis will of course be a role model for SA people and to so many aspiring cricketers. I want Kallis to come back in form which can give confidence to Sachin as well.

I'm not all ignoring the age factor. I am simply saying, that if you are in form at 36, make sure that form remains with you as long as possible because after that if form dips, it's nearly game over for them. What's your say intelinsideyou?

Its very disheartening to see the players like Kallis and Sachin struggling for runs but you can't ignore the age factor affecting their reflexes.
