Do you have any good quick and yet, healthy meals? I am in a cooking rut, so looking for new ideas and recipes. One of my quick and easy healthy recipes is: fry some cut up bacon, I prefer turkey bacon as it is less fatty. Then add fresh spinach leaves and a cut up tomato. Just fry the spinach and tomatoes very lightly. Add some Mrs. Dash which is a salt-free seasoning. Very delicious and healthy and quick. So, anyone with other ideas and recipes for quick and healthy meals. :)

Whenever I am busy, I always keep in mind to put on a good meal for my stomach. A good greeny salad with a simple salad dressing will do my trick. Usually what I do is mix some greeny veggies such as Cabbage and Lettuce with mayo and pepper dressing. I love matching it with a healthy tuna and scramble meal with a Mango Shake beverage.

Being winter in Ohio, I seek comfort foods more than healthy foods- but I have been doing soups for a month or so, black bean, veggie, broccoli.. I love to saute veggies from whatever is on sale at the store, and add chicken chunks. I'm also big into baked fish lately.

Saute veggies with chunks of chicken sounds good. Mrs. Dash now has a seasoning for chicken, which is tasty.

Bacon? Healthy? It doesn't matter if it is turkey bacon; it still isn't "healthy." It is marginally better than pork bacon. A much better option would be meatless bacon tempeh. I frequently cook tempeh, but I buy it in blocks. Just this evening, I had whole wheat penne with tempeh, onions and spinach. Tomorrow, I may make vegetable soup; however, I'm not certain about that yet. Perhaps, I shall make pumpkin soup instead... Hmm...

For me the healthy always prepared with less oil and fat. So my quick way to had healthy meal is by steaming it and sometimes boiled food. Steam vegetables taste good because steaming didn't remove the natural taste of the vegetables. Steam fish always taste great so does meat like prok and chicken. If stir fry involved, try to use a good vegetables oil like corn oil or sunflower oil.
