Community Tax Certificate

Since the year is starting, everyone who are working, or those in the business sector are again busy with their papers and documents needed for a smooth flow of business operation. Among these documents needed is the Community Tax Certificate also known as CEDULA. This is a primary requirement when getting other documents. I was supposed to get my individual community tax certificate on my place of assignment last week, but because of having a lot of things to do at the office, I was not able to get one. So until this time, I am not yet able to get one. How about you my friends, did you get your community tax certificate already?

I usually get my cedula first working day of the new year but until today, I still didn't get one. January is a stress month for me. First, it is because I think I have to be good this month as it is the first month and I have a list to fulfill even just for this month -- New Year's resolution. Then comes the business permit and other documents that needs to be done. Add to that is the stress to lose all the weight that I had gained during the holidays. The more I think of losing weight, the more I gain.

What do you think when some private offices get our original cedula? I know we can always get a cedula anytimeor how many times in a year. I am not just comfortable when some offices that I deal with get my original one. I will surely get mine in our municipal hall because its the first thing neeeded in my business transactions followed by the others documents

We are experiencing the same thing, bluespygirl. January is a stressful month. Just received an order to transfer to new place so tomorrow I'll be reporting in my new assignment. Of course I'm kind of nervous because I don't know what kind of people are waiting for me. But I am also happy because hits place is much nearer on my home. Hopefully, everything will be okay. Anyway, don't forget to get your CTC. Thank you for sharing!

CTC is one document I consider very urgent and important as a law-abiding citizen. It's one concrete proof than merely lip servicing I love the Philippines, So every year before Jan. 15 wifey sees to it both of us have the documents. It's her duty being the house treasurer overseeing both of our pension to pay all obligations including land taxes.

As development officers, there's a need for us to stress on the ability of LGUs to raise revenue, and not merely fold their hands akimbo and wait for national IRA share. Particularly for the barangay government coffer, officials must be taught sources to tap for revenue. Residents in particular must know that prompt payment of their CTC in their home residences contribute much to their own welfare. To overcome the tiring method of telling residents to get their cedula through word of mouth, meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops, installing a signboard at strategic points with wordings "Help barangay government by getting annual cedula at the barangay treasurer" can help much. The signboard can even be financed and installed by the SK.

I guess it differs from country to country, in my country if you are working then it's the company you work for has the responsibility of paying your tax, it is deducted from your wage packet along with your National Insurance contribution. But for self-employed they have to fill out their own tax returns each year. I wouldn't want the responsibility myself.

Income tax is a different one. This community Tax Certificate is a requirement before we can get other documents. This is one way for the villages to collect taxes from their areas. About income taxes, most of the offices are deducting the taxes from our salaries on a monthly basis and they will be the one to remit the same with Bureau of Internal Revenue. Thank you for sharing!

As far as my office is concerned I was the one who took charge in getting one for our office. So as far as my work place is concerned we have paid everything already for the whole year so we would not be bothered paying the business permit on a quarterly basis anymore. I was pleased to know that processing of business in my place was really fast where it took me only one day to process it. Where as compared to last year it took us about a couple of days before they released the certificate to us.

Yes the government is implementing the one-stop shop as part of the Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS) with the aim of easy facilitation of documents with relations to business permits and the likes. Thank you for sharing!

for me I still don't have new CTC or Cedula. I have not yet renew mine. Maybe I will get a new one this last week of January. Old cedulas are still important becuse some government agency and department requires to submit a old cedula for proof.

Hi friend! I also keep my old CTC for reference purposes. If you are going to get you CTC you may get it at you particular barangay so that part of your payment will also go to their fund which will help them with their projects. Have a nice day! Thank you for sharing!

I live in a rural area (province). Our municipal or town hall is so far from my place and it is hard to go there if you will not rent a tricycle or if you don't have a motorcycle. I wish our baranggays will issue cedula too like you have mentioned aries.

You just have to approach the Barangay Treasurer. This is one way for the Barangay to collect taxes.

i haven't really had the chance to go and get myself a CTC. i know this is needed especially for the tax returns filing. This is however made available when the tax form is sent to us to be filled up. we usually just buy from our officemate and ask them(those who live near barangays and they will get it from us.

Yes, i have already gotten the Cedula of my boss. I have yet to get the Cedula of our company, when i pay the assessments for the business permits of some other businesses of our company. It was easy to get the cedula of my boss. I simply called the barangay captain through phone to send his treasurer to our company because my boss is going to get her cedula, plus the other employees too. In the afternoon, the treasurer came to give us the Cedulas. But for our company's cedula, since it's a corporation, i have to get it at the City Hall, when i go there to pay.

Yes, you really have to go there. Well, anyway we really have to get CTC because we need it in our official transactions. I know next week the regional office will be reminding the employees about it so I have to get mine on Monday. Thank you for sharing!
