How to check whether a website is scam or not ?

Often we join new sites , specially new earning sites. But it is always good to have a good knowledge about the site before joining it. scamadvisor.com is such a site.
It gives detailed info about any site. So before joining any site see here, whether it is safe or not.
Also please add in comments, if you find any such free service.

There is also www.yelp.com (It allows us to go on there and write a review on businesses and how they've affected us.)
Scamadvisor sounds like a good one too. Its too bad we need these sites online but it is only good to check.

Use a search engine to look up reviews for a site, the user feedback section of the review is always a good thing to look at before joining a site.
