Disappointed

I didn't get the house I put an offer in for. Really disappointed. The realtor is advising me not to up my offer. She is asking way over the assessed value and my realtor is advising me it's a bad move to over pay for this property, I will lose in the long run. Even if I love it and really want it.

Depending on how much over the assessed value the price is you may not be able to get approved for a loan. Your realtor has the right idea. What was it about the house that you loved so much? Take the good things about the house, make a list of them, and keep looking for similar things in other houses.

Sorry to hear that, but maybe there is a reason why you were adviced not to up your offer anymore. Maybe there are some flaws in this house you don't know about, or probably she understood your cause is lost to a much higher offer... I don't know the exact situation, but it must be very frustrating to see what you have fought for slipping through your fingers. I hope you will soon find another nice house to bid for. Good luck with that!

Just hang in there. Buying a house is never easy, and after buying it, your nightmare isn't over. There would still be lots of stuff to do. Anyway, I'm sure that you will still find another house that you can finally call your own. Good luck!
