Why me ?

I was walking on the way to my Office with heads on the ground for I was thinking of how to help my subordinate. He was a family man and is really trustworthy when it comes to any assignment given. He is always submitted his report on time and never complain if he is given another assignment. While my thoughts is playing all along while slowly walking, suddenly a man stumbled right on my way after he bumped into a sack of rice carried by a man on his shoulder. The also fall to the ground but was not hurt for he was able to be on top of the sack of rice he carried for the moment I was shock for I saw blood coming from the head of the man. My next moved after I recover was to help him. When I heard loud noised from the crowd running towards me and said in a loud voice, " Don't Moved " stay where you are and I answered "Why me? then I saw gun pointing on my direction. I was really nervous and I don't knew what to do. They immediately grabbed the man soaked with his own blood from the cut on the forehead. The men with guns hands shakes with me and said thank you sir. I then understand the man is wanted for a crime and was running to evade arrest.

ahhhh.. whew.. scary story.. just like in the movie. good thing you were not accused of conspiracy or accessories to the crime. Glad that you are okay after this.

No, I was well dressed and the person was on his haggard attire and also my Office was near to the place and few of them recognized me but I just on a moment of shock good nothing bad happened.

and good thing he did not take you as a hostage or something... Your angel was so alert and attentive to watch over you.

I don't noticed any weapon on him and I was just almost side by side of the man carrying a sack of rice on his shoulder and he came from my left side the man with a sack of rice was also on my left side. I loved to walked on the right side for it is free from another pedestrian on my side. At that time, as if I was protected by the man with a sack of rice.

You must be proud in helping the police get the suspect. You were in the right place at the right time. I gather that cut on his forehead came from when he was committing the crime. So was the man soaked with his blood was the man who bumped into the man carrying the rice?

It might have been that the criminal might have taken you hostage. And you might have made a mistake and thought he was a victim.

Wow, that sounds like something that only happens in movies. I didn't know that it could really happen, that was so scary! If it were me in that situation I would have fainted or cried. Good thing the authorities were just right behind him, goodness knows what he could have done to you as well.

Looks like a scene from action movies. I'm sure it's a scary situation but I hope you're okay. You're lucky the guy didn't use you as a hostage, more scary for sure. So, was it reported in any news? did you became part of it and saw your name or face in tv?, just curious.

I was just lucky and from that time on I always observed the movement of people near me. No, only my back and part of my body, the arresting Officer and the person arrested. It happened very fast. What? I can remember is when I shouted back. WHY ME ? and my mouth seems to be plastered till I reached my Office. When I reached home, after office.Ive seen my back and part of my body standing among a group of people.

good to know your fine after what happened.. just be careful next time if you want to help a person because not all people are trustworthy maybe the experience wants something to tell you.
